well i certainly couldn't think of another color that would have looked good in my situation. i took nasty, bubbled up tundra wheels, stripped , and reconditioned. on a truck that's black and white i didn't see another viable option.

I do realize taste is subjective and we all don't agree. But I'd rather see black than pink. There are a few Tahoes running around here with pink plasti-dip emblems and fender flares.

I did like black when they first came out, now it's bordering on the flood of white spokes from the mid 70's all the way to current. Artillery wheels didn't even run that long.

...make a comback with artillery wheels. Those would look good 8 or 10" width and color matched.

I'm not making fun of your truck Chris , I think it looks awesome . I just think black wheels in general are played out !!!

i tried silver and gun metal grey but they just wouldn't cut it. bronze is out of the question on white for me along with chrome or aluminum. nothing wrong with them just not my taste with white. i am thinking about getting the paint and color matching white to the truck

You're going to like the power that header makes plus the different exh note

retaining the stock exhaust for now. according to tooter's dyno tests it works as good or better than changeing to flowmaster or something else. i also don't want it to sound ricey

Ever thought of using camo paint like sand or khaki paint on the wheels . What about Olive drab as a color ???

I'm running a Tri Y shorty header from Doug's headers and the power I'm getting from this header is unbelievable . Also the throaty exh note , gets a lot of nice comnents

I'm running stock exh except for a performance built magnaflow muffler and it sounds awesome

Mike is as awesome as his truck. Those are actually the sidesteps that didn't work on my truck. Mike made them work and they look great against the green.

The Doug's headers shorty was a direct bolt
    on

A supercharger with a small pulley will wake that 4cyl up

Mine is a Tri Y design so cyl #1 shares cyl #3 with a merge collector and cyls 2 & 4 share a merge collector . Then both share a common collector so its basically a 4 into 2 into 1 style header design . This design allows a stronger torque curve and power output higher in the rpm range

I was told by Doug's headers tech dept this would compliment the Supercharger and make more hp and tq

I was going to take the week off and go hunting with the dog a few hours to the North. Didn't work out though. Right now thinking that is OK
    [IMG]

I'll take the cold over triple digits any day of the week. After 6 heat strokes can't do it. But I think the - in front of the temp counts as triple digits when it is teens and twenties below!

Tomorrow is also exactly 39 years that I entered active duty in the Navy. Spent 6 months taking a launch to work and went by the USS Arizona every day.

Last officer of the USS Arizona stationed on board that day being laid to rest with his men on the remains of the Arizona. His son and I took the Coral Sea around the world in 83 and hunt in SD each year.

In SD one night there was only 3 of us there, a 2 star Admiral and Captain. They had been stationed together several times including the Pentagon during Desert Storm, I was in the Gulf. After dinner and a few drinks the conversation turned to the Tomahawk missile and they looked at each other and smiled when I asked a question. The Admiral was quiet for a minute and then said just pretend for a minute that in the basement of the Pentagon is a room named Checkmate, and it is manned by AF and Navy. They made the decisions on what targets to hit. I'll leave it at that.... :p

Try it there in the engine and boiler rooms of a ship! Spent a lot of time over the years in the Gulf and around the equator. In the Arctic the engines and steam plants run a lot better and I did too LOL.
