    Yeah in car mode appatently it can sense vibration or a crash and automatically turn on (moments too late). but it does power on automatically with external power ie usb. and it has looping video and auto off after 1 or 3 minutes lots of mounts 2 batteries. should work great for that just have to press record

    Sounds cool! I've only had stand alone dash cams and stand alone action cams. I didn't know some action cams had the ability to act like a dash cam with loops and things!

    And yeah, not real helpful for it to turn on AFTER the crash lol

    More helpful than nothing. Usually people aren't immediately vanishing into the distance. Sometimes they stop and get out to "see if there's any damage" (ie, is anyone looking and can I just bail) and/or are just plain chucking it in reverse to bail. Very easy to extrapolate what is going on when a g-force based camera-on event occurs and there's a damaged car backing away from you. I think the cops can figure that one out.:boink:

    I wasn't sure if it was being referred to as if the vehicle was parked and off or if you were driving. I could understand that being parked but if the crash occurred while driving I'd want the full incident recorded lol.

    Ohhhh OK. Yeah it's a feature on some dash cams. When you turn the car on and drive it = always recording. When you turn the car off, it stays in a sort of "park" mode where it's in standby, but it starts up recording if it gets jostled, like if some dingleberry clips your parked truck.

    Yeah, he said you have to hit record for it to work while driving, rather than it just auto-recording when you start the truck lol
