General Grabber X3 35x12.50R17's under a 6" Rough Country lift. Using 1" wheel spacers to push them out a hair and I plan to go up another 2" all around when time permits (or it gets warmer outside again - whichever comes first).

What do you guys have your caster set to. I noticed with 4-5 caster I had more room with my 33s and 2" lift.

Wish I did 35s(315s) to start but now I have something to look forward to.

Mine is 2.5 and 0 camber. At some point I might go back and see if they can get more caster and leave the camber at 0 (since my tires rub on flat ground/full lock). I was worried any more caster and my camber would start to go positive. I should have told the alignment shop max the caster leaving camber at 0. But I said try to hit 2.5 and that's what they did.

Noob question here, but what's the purpose of adjusting the caster? Is this supposed to clear tire rub? Please school me lol

A more positive caster helps with bigger tires that like to wonder on the road and it can help position the tires so they don't rub

Running 3" lift with a 3.5 caster and 0 camber and space for days for a 33" tire. When I picked up my truck after the 33" were installed I was thinking damn.. should have gone with 35" but gearing has been holding me back. Now with all this drooling I might end up pulling the trigger in the next year. I've done the body mount chop and pinch weld how much fender do you need to cut? Pics?

Both @erok81 and I cut nearly the same at the bend in the fender. If you take off your flare you'll know what I'm talking about. We have pictures in our build threads.

I wish I had a pic of everything I cut. I only have the flare remnants though. I should have saved it like a trophy - I did that with my BRZ fender parts.

    IMG_5042.jpg

Scratch that. Those are the fender pieces. No flare pics. But it was similar.

@90yota Nice build thread very helpful. Any plans on installing a snorkel? Have any issues with dirty filters when off roading with the liner removed and all?

I don't think you'll be able to go up anymore. The RC 6" uses the same drop brackets as the 4". It only lowers the Control Arms 3.5"

The Procomp and BDS I think drops them the full 6"

I have a set of 4.88's I need to install. :hungry:

I think 90yota is the same. For how much work it is and how cold it is. I don't really care to do mine yet. It's not really that bad driving around. Off road I'm sure I'll notice. But I have too much tire rub to worry about off-road right now. Haha

Thanks! Im not much of a fan of snorkels so I need to fab up some type of tube to help with that issue. I try to take it easy in water and mud because of it

Thanks! Yeah, I ripped the crotch out of a pair of pants in the first couple of days climbing in without steps. Those steps are the Cord Auto P3's (they supply them to Toyota). Check them out here.
