I really have no idea of where to go, or what to do. Not a hooters here, and I don't have a garage or a place to wrench. A mod day would be cool, but as I said, I have no place to MOD. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a barn to work in. Lights, music, air tools, jack and stands.... It's not heated though so it sucks in the winter.

And Tully's not that far away. I used to drive through on the way to Syracuse, and when I was going to ITT in Liverpool.

I have a propane salamander. It helps a little. Barn is BIG and drafty (2 story). I've been stapling up plastic bags from my wood pellets over the walls to cover the gaps and stop the drafts. It helps some, but it's still a 2 story barn I could park 3 cars wide in.

Dude, that is awesome. If you were willing to use your barn I think we could get a good turnout. I have not seen any upstate meets at all since I joined.

Yeah, I'd be up for it. I'm on a main road with on street parking (both sides), room for a few cars in the driveway, and behind the barn. I have about an acre of land. There's a Subway, pizza place, 2 gas stations, and a grocery store half a mile either direction.

I don't know when you would be up for it, but I am sure we could get a few peeps to show. Could be a good time.

I'd prefer it to be above 30 first! My fingers don't work so well when they're cold.

I used to work on the flightline so I don't much mind any weather. Well, whenever you are down man. I need a nice day to repaint my bumper anyways. The hammer finish didn't hold up too well when I moved, so bedliner is prolly going to be put on instead.

Yeah, I mean, I did the master cylinder on my corolla a couple weeks ago, and it took twice as long as I wanted it too because it was so cold.

Bed liner needs to dry too. You don't want it to come off on the way home, and at this point it would probably freeze and become a mess. With the road salt and everything.

George3 was planning on coming up to do his heated mirrors. Not sure when though. He was still gathering parts last I knew, and then the weather turned nasty.

I know a few places around here that aren't offroad parks, but the towns around here seem to like having roads they don't plow, pave, or really maintain. Depending on the weather they can be a challenge, and it's legal. :D

So if we wanted to meet here for a trail ride of some sort, that would work too. Most are within 20-30 miles. One such trail is a bit of a logging road up to a powerline access path and radio tower. The high-tension towers are on a couple of man-made plateaus that give a nice, steep, hill climb at the top. On either side of that, one side is all stone the size of my fist or so for the "road", and the other side was mud when I went. The mud side crosses a stream (that I think I tore my 7pin off on), and ends at another road. So if you can't get back up there's always down.

I know of another place where ATVs and go carts go. Been there a few times. Lots of mud and bamboo stuff since it's on the edge of a river, but that also means I never try it if it's rained in the last week. Silty soil gets real bad when wet.

I am trying to see if there is a guy on TW from here, La Fayette. I think I saw his Tacoma with a Sock monkey decal, but wasn't sure and couldn't stop to see.
