i have called the bilstein company to order some coilovers for my 16 Tacoma. They said they will not lift my truck up my 2.5" in the front. They said they are for if you have the lift already. I thought I have read different. I asked about any others and the guy told me none of the coilovers lift your truck you need a lift then put them in. Any suggestions or can someone point me in the right directions. I have spacers in my stock ones now but I'm not a fan

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Sounds like miscommunication. You have 5100's or the new 6112 (I think those are for 3rd gens). Check with on of the vendors here on TW. They will hook you up.

6112 is what they told me. They do give you the lift though depending on the setting correct?

Interesting @HeadStrong Off-Road - will you guys be carrying these anytime soon? Currently nothing is noted in the Bilstein section for 3rd gen full lift kits.

    Cheers

As of right now Bilstein has not fully released their 2016+ 6112 series coilovers. They have allocated a part number and have them available for “Pre-Order” but from what I have been told they don’t expect them to be available until the end of this year beginning of 2017. We already have our order in and are taking names for the interest list on them. We expect the price to be the same as the 05-15 6112’s which is currently $615.99 w/ free shipping to the lower 48 States. As far as the differences from the 3rd gen to the 2nd gen 6112’s it is hard to say. We really like to get the product in here and do a side-by-side comparison before we publish anything.

Here is a link to Bilsteins 2016+ 6112’s for you to check out and be able to reference the part number: http://cart.bilsteinus.com/product/47-234413/469407/4WD

If anyone wanted to wait for the 3rd Gen specific 6112’s we have an interest list going. No prepayment necessary.

If you follow the link and click on "Download installation instructions" it goes over some of the spec's.

Interesting how they have you use different settings for driver and passenger sides.
    To offset the lean?
But that's not their recommendation for the 5100s

Some people used the 2nd gen 6112's the same way. Lifted the drivers side more to help accommodate for the lean. I had some customers who were worried about the difference in ride quality from one side to the other so even though it could be done they still choose to run a top plate spacer for the lean.

I guess it really depends on how significant your lean is and if there is a notch setting which would accurately accommodate this.

They probably don't say anything about the 5100's since you use your stock coils and not everyone experiences lean with the stock coils.
