    on mine I used 3 grades of wet sanding 800,1500,2000 then cleaned and dryed then sprayed with clear uv protected automotive laquer been more than a year still look as good as when i did them, which is not perfect but tons better than they were. advantages of the clear coat is they dont get hazy again, the clear can be wet sanded and polished if desired (I didnt) they can be washed compounded waxed just like the painted portions of your truck facebook_1481125100827.jpg facebook_1481125132613.jpg

    ^^^Nice! I didn't know they had a "Mirror" color option... what do you use to wax your truck with? You could shave in that reflection!

    Looks really good, man. Mind if I ask where you sourced the anti-UV laquer and how you applied it?
    I may take a stab at going with more levels of sanding but I'm interested in this material you used and how much it costs... The alternative is just pony up for a brand new set of OEM headlight lenses and I don't have to worry for at least a few years, LOL!

    its just duplicolor clear coat from autozone from the touchup paint section. just applied several light coats, got a little heavy handed and got a couple small runs but got in a hurry and did both of mine on the truck could wetsand and polish them out but thinking about just buying the black ones like on the x runner

    It's not the wax that provides the gloss. That would be Wolfgang Finishing glaze in a LC Hydrotech tangerine pad. PC7424XP.

    I do like BLACKFIRE Black Ice for wax though. ;)

    Bought used 2007 tacoma a few months ago, Plugs were burned up... ReplacedASAP, Painted front and back Bumpers Black, Painted wheels Black to match bumpers, Put on Remote Door Locks!!!, added Cruise control which was simple!!!Really fun to work on this truck!!! I will post photos soon.
