    Yeah, those are along the lines of "some assembly required"... At least the ones I've seen. ;)

    Still have to use t-taps as stated above. Which are junk and would never use on a remote start system. They can cause major problems. Do it right and splice

    Cool. That's the thing that's been keeping me from pulling the trigger on a Fortin EVO-ONE based setup, I don't know that I'm definitely going to add a SmartStart but I want to leave that door open.

    Yes Iv had a Smart Start for years and love it. The other nice part is you can add a xl202 which then allows you to add just about any viper remote to the system. This includes 2 way remotes which is about a 2500ft working distance and send a chime back to the remote to notify you your vehicle successfully started

    Everyone is asking what parts I used

    I used one part which was the
    $59 Directed Electronics DBALL2 Databus All Combo Bypass Module
    Directed Electronics DBALL2


    PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! You can't just order this bypass, wire it in and go. You have to flash the module with the software needed to interface with the vehicle. In order to do this you need a couple things. You need XPRESSKIT software on your computer along with a xkloader 2.

    If you guys are interested I will flash the module with the appropriate software and pre wire the harnesses to make for a easy install. I can do this for 70 dollars shipped to your door. If i can do it cheaper I will but being its $40.00 plus tax and shipping which comes to about 55 dollars I'm not sure its possible as shipping to you will be 5-10 bucks. I will also include a print out of wires, locations and photos (Will also post here)


    Anyone interested in this PM me and we will set it up
