So the OR has Goodyear Kevlar tires where you live? Maybe the wheels are..but I sure know how hard they are to black out..and how much too buy aftermarket black wheels, if that's your thing.

Do you know what a list is? Hey I'm hating to. I couldn't wait for a year to get the Pro but at least I know a good thing when I see it. Last I checked it's 43-44k msrp. I got my truck for 37k out the window.

My point is that the cost of the TRD Pro parts are the same as any other OEM replacement part, so if you bought a Pro and wanted the OR Chrome grill it's gonna be like $400 from Toyota..so if the plastic pro parts cost the same as all the other models what exactly are you paying for with the added MSRP? If the Wheels cost the same as the OEM wheels on an OR where is the added cost? You gain leather seats but lose a moon roof, thats a wash. The only thing the Pro gets that likely cost more is the suspension and skid.

It's not about winning and losing its about common sense. Part costs are part costs. Unfortunately many people improperly inflate the value of a truck with like parts.

Pro's are extremely outrageous in the bay area (California). I've seen the automatic versions going from 48 and 50,000. It wasn't that bad when they first came out. Only 1000 over and one dealer wanted 47500 when they first came out. At this point I think most of the dealerships know that people will pay more for the pro's to have the exclusivity. I wanted a pro going to this gen but I changed my mind and bought a TRD sport. Glad I did because I am now making the mods to the truck that I want and I would have left the pro stock hehe;).

Joe, what do you think a comparable suspension installed would cost? Let's start there...

Look at it this way. If you can turn your 2017 TRD DCSB 4x4 into a pro for under 41-42k you win.

Hmmm tough to say since I mostly research suspensions in the $3k range (which imo are far superior to the Pro). I would think the Fox suspension is about $2k but subtract the cost of the OR suspension and its maybe worth $1000 more, idk though.

You're right, but buying a OR to put Pro part on it, you will have to buy those parts, that's the point. And a lot of people want those great looking pro parts.

If toyota was selling the pro the same price as the Off-Road because "it cost the same for the same plastic that's been use to make the grill...." what's the point of buying a Off-road if you have a pro model for the same price. It's logical that the Pro cost more.

It's a package, you need to pay more for a + package, it's the same with every manufacturer (ex: Audi S-line package, etc...)

This, love it when pro owners claim it's hate. Sorry but you can build a more capable Tacoma for less than the price of a PRO, that's not hate thats just fact.
