That's true but a waste imho, just as it would be a waste to buy a chrome grill and put it on a TRD Pro. So you can't add value to a truck because you want to buy extra/spare parts. The point is you are OVERPAYING for aesthetics.

Is that Toyotas price because it's not worth that and no one would pay that. Also labor is a wash because it comes from the factory, cost the same to install that as a stock SR5 suspension.

No that's how much you pay for an aftermarket suspensionparts, labour, wheel alignments. Below is what a pro costs here..

Not even close to the costs I have.

Ya your Pro costs about the same here, $44k USD

Look if someone wants a Pro, get a Pro, but make no mistake you are overpaying for pure aesthetics. You gain very little functionality over an OR for the price.

I have been down the building road before. For me a guy who isn't mechanical it was very expensive and time consuming. I wasn't happy with my ride after it was done. It costs to play so if Toyota took the time to do all the testing I guess that's worth something. Idk I am still on the fence and trying to convince myself the Pro is the way to go..lol

So if we use your logic, you over paid for your OR compared to 3.5L SR5. It may not have crawl control but then again many would argue that's really not necessary either. You keep sayin you're not hating on the Pro but yet you diminish the value of it. Be happy with your OR. You're not going to convince ppl who like or own the Pro that they paid too much just like a SR5 owner probably won't convince you that you paid too much for your OR.

I LOVE the Pro as far as looks. It's one of the best looking stock trucks out there, believe me I love it. If you can get a Pro for only a couple thousand over an OR I say go for it. For me, I would have had to order a Pro and none were willing to negotiate so I would have had to pay MSRP plus dealer fee plus everything else. So it would have cost like $8000 more for it which to me wasn't worth it, if I could get one for $38k then I probably would, still would pull the suspension out though.

The exchange rate makes the trucks look like they are way more expensive so a $57k truck is equivalent to $44k

Maybe but the TRD OR comes with WAY more options than an SR5 vs a OR and Pro. BSM, Rear parking, dual zone auto control, heated seats, push start, rear power window, plus what you mentioned with crawl control and an E-locker. A locker alone will cost you $1000 in parts, good luck finding aftermarket crawl control and MTS. All practical things I use everyday...plus my wife wanted them (heated seats and dual zone).

SR5 and OR have a difference in functionality
OR and Pro have a difference in Aesthetics

So if I was going with the quote I got today for the DCLB OR, what would some recs be for suspension. I don't want anything obnoxious that would cause alignment issues and so forth. I looked at BP-51's with Dakars, but not much out there on them. just looked at kings today and was pleasantly surprised with prices if I read it all correctly. any thoughts?

Do some reading on this forum regarding aftermarket lifts and issues. Some dont have issues others do. Atleast with the PRO you have the piece of mind that the lift is oming out of the factory.

Those are the same suspensions I am looking at, BP-51 and Kings. AllPro makes a pretty good leafpack I am considering as well. TJ at Bajakits may be able to get you a good deal on Kings.

A non obnoxious suspension could be something like below

    http://www.oldmanemu.com.au/

Use the selector for your truck. They are about $1300

Here is an example of a heavy load but they also have stock load and soft load.

Some of the options you consider "must haves" are also options on the SR5. Look at what you said, it's what you deemed of value that pushed you to buy the OR. Just like people like me deemed value in the Pro vs a Sport or OR. You come across as having to put down Pro owners to justify what you purchased. Maybe it's buyers remorse or regret, only you can answer that honestly. I'm sure you'll argue otherwise but bottom line is that if everyone had your mindset, Toyota would only be producing OR. But luckily for us they don't.

BTW, you will never convince me that the suspension on the Pro is just aesthetics compared to the stock OR.

The items I listed for the OR are not available in the SR5. I encourage you to compare them on toyotas website. and I LOVE my truck, definitely no regret or buyers remose.

I dont put anyone down, if you feel put down by my comments then perhaps you have buyers remorse or regret for overpaying. If you read my previous comments you would see that the suspension is the only thing you are really getting.

I had Kings on mine..they were way to stiff for my liking. Specially in the winter up here..idk maybe if I knew how to tune them I would have a different opinion. There are lots of people that are happy with them so maybe it was just me. Hard to have both smooth ride and off-road suspension system. That's what has me curious more than anything about what the pro has to offer.

That may be true lol, its the only reason why I got the OR, factory E-locker under warranty. All the other stuff was my wifes doing.
