2016 NCAA Football Thread

As much as I would like to see Alabama get knocked out of the playoffs... I can't watch UW win another national championship before Oregon gets one. So, I hope Bane comes and destroys the field like he did in Batman and neither team wins.

At this point in time, I just have to sit back and enjoy this as a Bama fan. I do feel for other teams....but, this IS history being made. This is uncharted territory for CFB fans. Not quite sure there has been a dominance sustained like this ever. And we all get to witness it.

 

The only team I like in the Playoffs is Washington, plus I already have all the necessary colors

 

My two favorite teams are LSU and whoever is playing Alabama

 

This year I think, more so than ever. As a fan, this team feels more like the 2012 team with the confidence and quality/consistency of play. Every other year though, it didn't feel like a steamrolling domination. More of a sitting there, waiting for Murphy's Law to take effect.

With that said, the table is set for Alabama to lose, with all of the major distractions (even though Saban is really good at getting the team to ignore them), injuries starting to pile up, and players starting to look ahead to the NFL, Washington probably has a much better chance to beat Alabama than most people will give them credit for. Alabama's DB's were the weakest area of the defense, Washington is pass heavy. Injuries to DB's and Shawn Dion Hamilton (cover LB) is really starting to put lots of pressure on the DB's and safeties. That game has the potential to be very interesting.

From the day I stepped on campus in 2011 I haven't had much of a choice. I was almost one of those Chickens Jeff hates

 

It was a family thing, dad was a Gamecock in the late 70's

 

He's added a few more degrees since then and actually never graduated form USC, transferred into PT school in Virginia

I also can see the table being set for Bama to lose, they dominated all year and nobody thinks they can lose. Saban is great at the distractions and outside impacts, but at the end of the day these are kids and if they even start letting any of it get to their head for a second, it could catch up to them. And as we all know anything can happen in college football. All that being said, I still think Bama rolls past Washington. Their line will dominate and will get to Browning, who hasn't been great under pressure.


On a seperate note, who does everyone got in the only game this weekend?
