@LuckyDad After all this talk you better end up buying a Tacoma. I hope I don't see you coming in hot saying you decided to buy a subaru impreza or something like that!

Just get the Pro, just do me a favor and don't give Toyota the satisfaction of blowing the bank.

I will deff be getting one in the coming weeks. if not sooner. but honestly after posting this thread. I'm even more confused. but I appreciate all the feedback non the less. I bet I'll find the off road damn capable. and I can have it in a long bed with heated seats for the 37k mark before taxes. thats pretty good I'm thinking.

I guess I missed your previous comment. What are you using the long bed for?

I don't know really. I thought it would be nice just to have the extra foot. Sleeping if I put a box on it I guess. I also have a motorcycle, I could put it in and still be able to close the tailgate. I figured for off-roading it wouldn't be that big of a deal with the extra foot for what I would probably be using it for. I would like to swap the bumper out anyway at some point for something more protective.

After watching some of the 17' Raptor videos, I think Toyota should of done more with the pro. Supercharger to really set it apart from the rest of the line, maybe a more aggressive transmission, paddle shifters, wider track, 33's, 4.56 gears, dare I say an A/T Tire.

I like the pro, but what are the big differences in the Pro over the OR, shocks and cosmetics. People would pay 50g's for tricked out Pro, I know I'd make pops buy me one.

But then again, the Raptor was created to sell F150s, and the Tacoma doesn't have any issues selling, so it really wouldn't benefit Toyota any.

If they had actually made it to compete with the Raptor, it'd probably be $60k+

I forgot about the aluminum skid plate, if I had a pro I'd swap it out for steel. I love the cement and the leather. It all comes down to how involved you want to be modding your truck.
