What he said. Another thing that will happen. Where ever you wrap around the glass in the wheel well, in time it will peel up. Not a big deal just a simple trim if it does. I have plain black vinyl and running through the Colorado trails it's held up pretty well. I see some scrapes from branches but no tears.

I did mine with just a ratchet and breaker bar, like you said, just requires more time and effort, but not terrible.

you can't do that with stock spindles FYI. Needs to be a fully fabbed spindle.

In case you didn't already know that..if you did then carry on!

Ditching your core support or just building around it?

Seen it done more than a few times with gusseted spindles.... but yes the plan is to make a new kit with vertical uniballs n stuff

Kinda maybe keep it at this point, more to just hang the fenders and tie the cab cage in, secondary shock mounts

I love this style of engine cage. You can squeeze 10" shocks in there and keep building on to it in stages.tapatalk_1448925577686.jpg

We all know bumping off that uca means chopping up a good chunk of core support.

This is the style that I have on my truck, just make sure with any engine cage you have plenty of vertical tubes from the frame up to the shock mount/bump stop area.

Feeler...sort of. Probably going to dump our Fiberwerx Tundra conversion clip and change things up. Looking for around $400 as is...currently wrapped, has a bit of damage on one side, holes from mounting, and is cut at the grill to make removal easier. Not perfect and would need a little bit of work to be new looking, hence the asking price. Would come with the clip, mini fenders, and probably some/most mounting hardware.

Can take and send current pictures or show it in person if someone is serious. Not looking to make a killing here, just recoup a little cost to roll in to whatever we do next.

Pic below is from Fiberwerx site, when we first mounted it.

Not 100% sure yet. Would like to go with the Fiberwerx 2nd Gen conversion clip but may go with the 1st Gen McNeil hood and fenders. Taking it back to a Tacoma look. Class 7100 is a stock motor/production type class so I'd like to get it looking like a Tacoma again for marketing's sake. And it's been on the truck for 5+ years so I'm itching for a change.

Ya I wish there was a better 1st Gen looking 1 piece out there. The one Fiberwerx designed with Link Motorsports like 12 years ago is ok and does a good job, but the fender opening is just so high... I know Jason used to have a deal where if you purchased three clips he would design a mold and stuff for you. But it has been a long time since I was doing projects with them, before I joined the Air Force...
