Tacoma Factory LED Bed Lights

only thing that makes me jealous of the double cab is the cargo light. how does it work on an access cab? it would only work when a door is opened? why punish the people who prioritize bed space over rear seat space? why why why toyota?

I guess I never realized the access cab doesn't have the cargo light ? I would have to think the part would be interchangeable though if you wanted to add one. Although probably not for cheap for what you would get...

I'm gettin these.

 

all double cabs have a bed light up in the third brake light. Why didn't you use that before? You said the bed was dark.

 

POS lighting the third brake bed light barely iluminates the bed plus I have a Bakflip bed cover comming in so I'll need illumination inside.

 

The wife and I were getting stuff out from under the cover the other night, she complained we needed lights, I turned on the bed light. She (and I agree) complained that the dam light was in her eyes making it even harder to see. Bed lights are on the list of wants now.

Oh many that looks sick was it hard to install?

 

Installed these in my double cab. It was a breeze except routing the wire loom up the driver's side along the frame was a PITA. That probably took me the longest. They are cheaper here..

I've had these for a year. They work great. My advice though? Skip the wiring instructions and wire them with a switch to come on when you want them on. I happened to have an older OEM rocker switch in my stash, so I used that. But you could easily pick up an actual bed light switch.
