Even at 20 it is still a helpful step. I don't use it but I am 6'2", my wife has used it the few times drove it though.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
That's exactly what I was thinking... Still ought to work as a step.

I use mine as a step all the time. I'm pretty short. It's more helpful for putting the kids in their car seats than it is for getting myself in and out.

Been with her for over 3 years, planning to pop the question within the next 6 months or so.

I'm 6'1" so I'm the same as you, moreso for her at 5'.

From other member pictures it looks like the flat ones are about 4" from the bottom of the door. How low do the 20 degree ones go from the bottom of the door?

Also, how wide is the slider/step area? I'm gonna try to make mock 20 degree slider angle and see how it'd look. IMG_4906.jpg

when folks talk about using these as steps, it's important to realize they only take away a few inches from actually just stepping into the truck. After researching on the options, and if I was to go with sliders to use as steps, I would go with the 20.

Sorry MOB- but if I only wanted steps, I would by steps, not sliders.

At 0 degrees they are about 4" down, at 20 degrees they are about 2" down. No matter what degree they are at, they all sit with the outer most edge of the slider 3/4" past the crown of the door.

Not sure if this was directed at me, but I would be using them as both - sliders and steps. If I wanted to just use them as steps, I would have gotten the black steps. Trying to get the best of both worlds.

Mobtown has the best looking and strongest slider on the market, and semi-local so makes sense to support them.

It was a comment to the conversation. The 2 inch difference, I would just go with 20 degree

Go with whatever suits your needs. Zero degree meets my needs and more. My wife and kids are short and had a hard time getting in the truck without the sliders. I also wanted something that was stronger than the regular steps out there.

That 2" difference may not matter much to you or or me (I step over the sliders), but it does to the shorter people in my life (for my situation).

I'd like to thank @Mobtown Offroad for making today's garage project possible. Was having trouble figuring out getting these damn shelves to screw in the wall.... the studs didn't match the holes for the brace. Mobtown slider palette still available? Problem solved! Wife is off my back now, so I'll get time to put the sliders on shortly.

Now to find a project I can convince the wife I need a MOB pallet.

    Hey guys,

I bought these, and finally got them from my buddy's business yesterday.

I'm betting someone else will be contacting you pretty soon, because I am fairly certain you sent me two of the same side. On top of that, one of them has the fill plates (that weren't supposed to work??) and one does not.

Please get in touch and let me know how we can fix this.
