That sucks! Hope you get better and soon. That doesn't sound good at all.

Imagine how much fun it would be cleaning the hood with the snow brush with a boat load of those on the hood LOL. Or even a pair of them.

Best mod I've done right now seeing how it was 15 when I left to go run my son around is the Smart Start remote starter. Leave the heat on high, defrost on, and blower full everytime I park this time of year. Even at work 15 minutes before I leave I pull out my phone and start it up. I'll gladly pay the extra .25 cents to get in a warm truck. Or even .50 cents don't really care. And for the 2 weeks of the year when it gets above 80 getting into a cool truck is also worth it.

2nd is the heated seat option for the Wet Okoles. Especially with the sciatic nerves flaming. Ooh la la....

3rd is the tech deck ram mount system and ram mount magnetic mount for the phone. I use it every time I get in and play Amazon Prime music. Have ~20 Gb. of data a month no sense letting my oldest son use it all with his iPhone.

Glad I have sliders, bumper guards, etc. and they have prevented some damage. But also add weight and slow the truck down according to the butt dyno. And gas milage takes a hit but obviously don't really care about that.

I like it a lot, one of those things looked at for a couple of years and then once I did it wished I would have done it sooner. I have the heavy duty extreme, it is only a few dollars more. Someone put an installation video on the Tech Deck thread and once I saw how easy it was that was enough to cause me to get it.

The Ram mount arms and balls allow total flexibility. I have found that to prevent vibrations on sketchy roads at faster speeds a single arm is more stable than a combination of arms. For daily use I have a 7" Garmin and a short arm magnetic phone mount. Found out about the mag phone mount in that thread also it is great, no cradle or messing around just slap the phone on it and done.

During hunting season I have the 7" Nuvi with Onxy Topo hunting maps, 10" Windows 10 tablet with Aspen cuts tied to google earth, and my phone mounted.

Don't get cell reception in most of Superior National Forest so have to cache to the tablet and the phone is worthless much of the time, but reception is slowly expanding. Only have the tablet mounted a few weeks a year but it handles it fine. There is a lot more space there than the picture shows the perspective is off. Nothing blocks the view out the window and all are below the hood.

Also did the A pillar mod mount for my Garmin Alpha for the dog. Again only use that a few weeks out out of the year but is nice to have and ran out of space on the Tech Deck anyhow LOL. Could use balls on the bottom of the plate but playing around with it that makes it harder to work the HVAC controls and didn't like it. Especially when you might need to run the AC and Heat both in the same day.

The RAM mount system is everything people have said it is. Highly recommend the Tech Deck and RAM mounts, even if it is just for a phone.

Thanks Mike! That's quite the set up! In the Tundra I use a magnetic mount that fastens into the CD slot. I've tried it on the Taco but it somehow makes all the controls for the head unit non functional. I may just have to pick up a deck.

No I haven't one of the first things I did when I got the truck was mount an ultragauge above the mirror so too late for me. Once it was done didn't want to redo anything, but if not then I would certainly done it.

They do make a V8 Hybusa engine swap for those smart cars , it'll put 425hp to the rear wheels
