Today I'm going to be heading out of Houston down 59 South out past Victoria. I'm going to hit Laredo Taco, which is in a nearby Texaco station, for some of the best breakfast tacos on Earth then when I get further out of town I have to stop at Prasek's Smokehouse (also a Shell Station)

Where in Texas do you guys like to eat gas station/rest stop food??

if you make it up to the wichita falls area you HAVE to get some "texas best" jerkey.

In marbel falls I like going to the "blue bonnet caffe"
and there are a few places in the DFW area that make some damn good BBQ.
one of the best is "hard 8's BBQ"
    http://www.yelp.com/biz/hard-eight-bbq-coppell

edit: as for gas station food...Joes quick stop in Windthorst makes some damn good food too. I usually hit that up on the way to the deer lease.

Anyone know any good places to stop on the road from San Antonio to San Angelo? I'm taking a road trip on Sunday from the Valley to San Angelo so any tips would help. Thanks.

Don't know, but if all else fails, stop where all the truckers stop. That's the telltale sign of good road grub!!
