I trimmed and beat the pinch weld and stuff like that pretty quick but the roof is nerve racking cause if you screw up, you're looking at water leakage into your cab/headliner. Ask me how I know :(

Nothing a generous amount of silicone couldn't remedy but still...

Anyone planning on going out Friday? I have to pickup some axles in Azusa anytime before 5pm. Something in the general area would be sweet.

What's there to rebuild? I'm not sure what the difference is between the 1st and 2nd gen S/C's but mine looked pretty simple. Are you talking about the bearings in the belt pulley? That's the only thing I can see breaking down in the future.

For the 3.4l supercharger it's the nose cone that has to be rebuilt.

When I got my truck, the nose cone was dry...only had oil residue in it  I put fresh oil in but who knows how long it was driven that way. It doesn't make any abnormal sounds but that was not a fun discovery. Supposed to be changed out every 30k, fun fact: it's illegal to but the supercharger oil in CA online. I found a Chevy dealership that had it though.

I wonder if there is any oil that needs to go into the 2nd gen SC. Time to do research I guess.

I'm not sure, the 3.4l takes 4oz of supercharger oil in the nosecone for the bearings. I imagine they all do but I can't say for sure.

I've done the couplers on a second gen, when it comes time to do the full set of bearings on my own I'm gonna send it to stiegemeier and have them do a full port and polish. I need more power, these trucks are so damn slow, and every non motor related modification I do just makes the truck slower.
