But if your giant monster stickers are covered, they don't give you the full 50+ hp gain...

 

Anybody ever have the floor become noisy? Kinda hard to explain, but it seems like the flip over/overhang portion of the floor has maybe become slightly delamininated from whatever is in between the two aluminum sheets. When I mive around in it, I it makes kind of a crunchy sound. You think this is a problem? Is it fixable? Sorry for the long, not very clear question.

 

I am doing a trade for a second hand one.

 

I love the hard shell, thinking about a wrap once the whole truck is done! For now this will do!

 

I think mine does that too. I think it's just the material flexing or something (at least that's what I tell myself )

Anyone have any idea how to get this zipper unstuck? It's been 3 hours already with no progress. Can't move the zipper at all. This after stepping up my don't-get-the-zipper-stuck game...

 

I just tug on the canvas to pull it out of the zipper

 

I did that once. It sucked. Took about 15 minutes of pulling both apart.

 

Yup, been there done that. Took me maybe an hour of jerkin it before the canvas came loose. Just stick with it and take your time to avoid tears.

 

Punched a hole in the canvas trying to get it unstuck...





It worked.

 

Zipping the covers on is a 2-handed operation. One hand 'inside' keeping loose material away from the zipper, the other hand pulling the zipper.

But yes, it can be a two hand job............

I try and stuff as much canvas in as I can during the initial fold up, and normally all I have to worry about is the lower flap of the tent.

 

Those of you with CVTs, are your interior poles a full 1in in diameter?

 

Older CVTs do not have 1" internal support poles. Newer ones are 1". They switched in 2013 I think. One easy way to tell is the rainfly also changed about the same time. They went from a very light color (pale green) to a dark brown. The newer rainfly also has sides on the entrance opening where the older ones did not.

In this pic the two tents on the left were purchased in 2011. The one on the right is the newer style. Mine is the middle one.
