I bought some light bar mounts from eazycompany of Toyota symbol with horns and fit a 42' light bar up top mounted using threaded rivets drilled 2 holes into A post (where the weather stripping is on inside door) used the weld on each side as a way to measure since they are on both sides in the exact same place. Do not drill on weld. Use a threaded rivet gun to place in holes drilled then I mounted the brackets. Now my mount said 40-42in well it ended up being 38' so I had to bend the mounts wider to fit 42' light bar thus brining the light bar slightly higher then I wanted but it was my first time so lesson learned it's an easy enough fix. I then took it off put clear silicon from auto zone filled the inside rivet like a cream donut put the mount back in place put a lock washer on the outside of mount then bolted that bad boy in. Same procedure all around when done with that I put another coat of clear silicon around the bolts and put my weather stripping back on. Oh and you might have to tighten bolts to be sure door closes properly do this a little at a time and check. That's pretty much how I did my roof LB and ran the wiring behind weather stripping into fender which led to the battery. Bought additional wiring to make If from roof to battery.

Bottom I had to remove my front bumper bought some metal from home depo. Bought the metal shaped as a L with holes in it and welded that to the dumper I had to measure it to where the light bar would shine out drictly so it was welded to the back of the front bump guard? (I forgot at the moment you will see it) close to the middle and ran a powder bolt and washer through the holes of the bracket holding light bar and metal you just welded. I also spray painted all metal with rust resist. Now I cut off the plastic pieces in the front bumper as seen in above post^ and put that bad boy back on and was ready to go.

Note: I measured wrong and and had to cut 1/2 in off the plastic on my from bumper for the 22' LB to show through. So measure like 3x Haha this is how I did everything myself and this all was my first time so I'm sure there are better ways this was just the way I did it and I included my mistakes so don't make them yourself!

Haha thanks man. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it. So much I'm afraid to pull the trigger on a plate/custom bumper that I want...

Even thought about making a few valences with lights intalled and selling them. But like I said they're a but if a pain to install. Probly be easier if I were to do it yet again. Gonna put up a basic write-up on the valence lights. Didn't take a ton of pics, but someone with good creativity can figure it out. I'm sure you could do it. Also, the output is all about the optics man, and placement. These lights are amazing;)

Here's an alternative for you guys looking for dirt cheap ditch light brackets. I have a similar antenna bracket I'm using for my hood mounted rigid srq's. But these look even nicer. The extra support bracket on them can be taken off so the lights are more flush with the hood if desired. Gonna order some of these up, just to have. Or mount even more lights. ha. Might even work for the underside of rear bumper for reverse lighting. Or on the tailgate on the sides maybe. Anywhere there's a lip to clamp on to really. Not sure how sturdy these ones are until I get them in, but my other ones bolted onto the hood lip by windshield, are solid. They use set screws that tighten down on the lip. My current ones had a countersunk hole on the top side of hood that required me to get a countersunk bolt to use and a nut on top. These look like they have a tiny allen bolt fastening the top hardware that screws into the mount itself, so is a bit better/easier design..

How much are they? I think the LED light bars that I found aren't too badly priced and heard good things about them.

But those (truxtech) really aren't that great of a deal. Its easier yes. But those lights are sourced from overseas and you can find the same lights on eBay/Amazon for cheaper. For example, they're 50" 3D bar is $270 with or without free options. You can get a good 50" of same quality for $76. As well as other lights, all separately, for cheaper in total than going the "bogo" route. It's really just a marketing scam y'all. Their warranty isn't all that great either. They say "condensation is under warranty, but ONLY if it damages led's, otherwise condensation goes away with sunlight".. Same warranties and risks you take with other "budget" vendors too tho. However, they're mix and match setup is pretty nice and makes it easy. But meh, just do your homework. Keep looking. I looked for a looooong time before I started buying budget lights.

Very true, but I did get condensation in two of my pods and they sent me 4 free ones with no charge. All I had to do was send in a picture of the messed up light and got the new ones in less than a week. Although I will say, it did take mine about a month to come in when I first ordered them because they do ship from overseas. I am happy with the turnout though, they are super bright and seem to be decent quality.

From ebay. They are 8" Vision X Evo Prime clones.
Just search for "8inch 40W led"
This is the cheapest set I've found. I paid twice that much when I first bought em.

Thanks much for the link. Might get another set they would prob be 30w. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/222292826614. Cause i want amber. What were the measurement on the brackets you made? Iknow size will be different frrom mine. But i can at least work off of your measurements first. Piece everything together before i go under there and start removing stuff. Its friggin collld out.

I honestly couldn't tell ya, didn't really take measurements. Just marked em, cut and bent to shape.. Those 6" might actually be small enough to fit in there without cutting the plastic out. And they have leg mounts so you might be able to mount them directly to the plastic carrier inside. Idk tho. But I have a feeling they're gonna look too small in there. I originally bought some amber rigid srq to put in there but those were even smaller than those bd clones you wanna use, so I used those in the hood like ditch lights, but for dtrl instead. At the very least you'll want to use some mesh or something to "fill" it in, or hide the open areas. Maybe get a couple extended Allen bolts for the front plate of the led bar and attach mesh or a "flush" mount plate to the bar itself. Pretty custom job so you're gonna have to take some time and figure it all out regardless I think. Or maybe you'll get lucky with those and they'll mount nice. Ha. Good luck tho! Looking forward to seeing it all done!

Finally got my 20" mounted behind the valence! Thanks to my little brackets, it fits like a glove.
