Correct, it gives no appearance of any sort of compatibility with anything but its own charger.

I agree, very slow charger. Good if you're on a long trip. If time is of essence, better to use the 12v outlet in your armrest storage to charge.

Wished they offered Homelink button RVM (like Limited) and a place to hold my sunglass instead. I currently use as a dead space to put my sunglass and junk.

I really like it. I put my phone in there while running the torq app while towing. Keeps my phone charged and easy to look down and see a tranny temp. I will say the phone gets hot charging and running torq.

I don't think the tranny temp is really tranny temp in Torque. It reads the exact same as the water temp to the decimal and it rises at idle, falls when driving which is indicative of water temp, not transmission temp.

Given the legendary lifespan of Toyota trucks (slight irony here, as I know there are 3rd Gen haters out there) will there be any Qi compatible products, or GoPro's to mount to the OffRoad GoPro mount, when we start joining the 300K mile club in 20 years or so? Though I gotta say, USB is doing a pretty good job of hanging in there.

I'm developing a burrito warmer QI replacement for this circumstance.

if you ever update to a newer nexus or pixel, it will no longer work. google stopped doing qi charging in their phones starting with the 6p and 5x. the pixel and pixel xl also lack wireless charging. Their new thing is to use USB-C so that the plug can go in either way. this also allows rapid charging. I can charge my battery from empty to full in about 45 minutes.

    What a useful post.

I have an S7E and I charge mine in the driver side front corner. It seems to work great there. I've never tried the passenger side rear.

This is one of the reasons I canceled my Pixel preorder and went with the S7 Edge (others being no micro sd support, and not waterproof).

I have a Galaxy Note 4 that I use all the time. It works great to keep the battery topped off while streaming Pandora, etc.

@Lord Humongous, expect a large contribution to your kickstarter from me for this. Could you also add an automatic warm cheese dispenser?

I'm aware. But I'll be on my N6 for awhile. No reason for me to get a newer phone right now. Running 7.1 flawlessly with plenty of ROM choices!
