    Best I can figure is...

    52151-04051 = Color bumper
    52151-04061 = Chrome bumper
    52151-04907 = Black primed bumper

I purchased the 52151-04907 bumper and it came in black. It's the cheapest of the three.

That seems right. They sure do make it confusing though.

Do you have a pic of the bumper? I'm tempted to do this since its only $30 worth of spray liner.

An option of a similar flavor, with what some folks think is a bit nicer texture, is montaliner. www.monstaliner.com.

Pull it off, prep it, finish it by hand.

Still, a local swap with someone wanting out of a black bumper is even more budget friendly. Find a local group of Taco nuts, advertise on CL, etc.

The OEM bumper is only primed. It would need to be top coated with something or else it will fade real bad from the suns UV’s.

i just installed one w/o sr5 pack and looks like its smaller in size. maybe an in lower from the lights and about an inch from the rear fender. Maybe i mis-bought and this one is for a 4cyl, 2wd, base model?20200625_172115.jpg 20200625_172059.jpg

Has anyone had the primer only bumper on for a significant amount of time? How has it held up with fading etc?

Currently in the market for a new rear bumper, I'm inclined to think the 52151-04051 is a black painted bumper, but not color matched. This web site has a note that states, "No paint req."

    52151-04051 = Black painted bumper
    52151-04061 = Chrome bumper
    52151-04907 = Black primed bumper

I bought a black bumper from Rock Auto last year ~$150 to replace my rusted OEM. I ended up spraying on a couple coats of textured bedliner so it would match my flares and aftermarket front bumper (BodyArmor).

it looks “ok” but does not sit as flush to the bedsides as the OEM, similar to what Hazzi posted photos of above. My truck is a total pile though so I was just happy for a slightly better appearance than the chrome but also not break the bank

Can you provide a link to the exact seller and listing? eBay is a mine field of garbage car parts if you get the wrong one.

I ordered the bumper with part #52151-04907, the black primer version, and included my truck's VIN number with the order. The dealer called as said that #52151-04051, the black painted version (or so I suspect), was the part that matched my truck's VIN and the part I ordered was not. I drive a white base model Tacoma that came with a black painted bumper. Hence, I think my part number interpretation above is valid. Unfortunately, even the parts guy couldn't tell me the difference between the part numbers. :(

Have him pull up the exploded view.

2 rattle cans = primed and painted
    1 rattle can = primed
    0 rattle cans = chrome
