Yes he is bringing it to ME not my MA. That happens all the freaking time, when ordering stuff I try to use my zip code over telling them my state so they don't f it up.

 

Not sure if this is where I would post this, but I am hoping maybe TW Express can help me. I'm looking for a particular beer for a Christmas present for a friend. It's not available on the Island, and for silly reasons distributors supposedly can't ship to my address. Anyone from TW wanna help a chica out and buy me a pack and ship it to me? I'll gladly pay for a pack of your choice as well via PayPal, Venmo, whatever other app you use.

Edit: The box it comes in would probably have to be put inside another box, since liquor isn't permitted to ship. I'll pay for the said bigger box as well

 

How "risky"/difficult is it to ship something like this?! Probably would need a shit ton pf packaging so the bottle don't break... right?!

 

I used to work for UPS. Only someone with an alcohol license could ship to someone with the same. If you dont the shipper can get a giant fine.

But you can get around it by individually bubble wrapping them.

I am not sure exactly how they come to be honest. If they come already in a box I imagine just some sort of filler in between the two boxes. Or if they come individually, I've sent glass bottles wrapped in bubble wrap and paper bags.

They can be bought upstate, northern jersey, but not Long Island or NYC. Which is really weird. I think NYC has some sort of no shipping liquor through it over x amount of ML rule. I used to have whiskey shipped from TN, but they stopped that.

 

So wanna ship me some individual bottles?

 

LOL! Thinking about it, but to be honest a bit "scared" of them breaking... more so that than the fine part, if it is true that the "rule" can be bypassed by sending them individually wrapped.

It also looks like there is some available by the New London ferry. So if anyone is passing on down to Long Island.

 

Supposedly, according to the site/links you sent, there are three shops around here that sell it. Guess I would have to pop in one that's down the road from work, since that would be the closest, to confirm/verify that.

I'll run out on my lunch break tomorrow and see if they have it, check price, etc, and will let you know on here then.

Basically you're tricking the shipper. But if you get caught, no bueno.

Only authorized shippers can ship alcohol. Since normal people are not authorized, this is a way around it. Or you can pay a beer vendor to ship it for you. They take the risk since they are authorized

 

Called the shop down the road from work. They are telling me it comes as a single bottle, not a box, and what they have are 3 22oz bottles. $10 each.

Sound right to you?
