Pretty sure if you search this here thread you see some comparison between the TCs and DKs.

Those are probably the top of my list, but with the price tag, it almost makes sense to get extended axles and go for the +2 kit

Stock length race series TC lowers on mine and love them. You summed it up nicely, I get a little more clearance and articulation, the positives that come with uni-balls and I can easily add in a secondary later when I'm ready.

Thanks, GT! I found a lot of good info on page 187 here, but not much speaking to the strength of the uniball vs the ball joint. Do you worry about over-extending your CVs?

If that is your concern then run straps. I have the TC uppers and lowers and never worry about that. But I dont race truck either.

This. I have straps attached to the secondary points and will find a way to keep them when I upgrade.

Just looked through your build and saw the straps, thanks for the info. What's your loaded weight?

I had dk lowers and loved them Mikey. I've also installed the tc race lowers and they are very nice. I currently run one of their race kits. Next time you're at the shop we can discuss the benifits of each and if you decide to go with one I'll hook you up. You've sent me enough work I owe you

Personally if lt is something your even considering you may want to strongly consider going that route. I went mid travel with kings, billet uca's and dk lowers, all cause I was trying to avoid dropping money on axles. Ended up costing the same as lt minus the cost of axles. Now here I am a year later with long travel, should of done it from the start

That's the choice I'm going to have to make. Axles and a few more gussets are the only additional pieces I'd need between LT and MT, up front anyway. I'm looking forward to coming down in January for the hoops and to learn more. By that time I'll have a better idea of where I'm going

@Dirt King Fab lowers here, worth every penny. If you're going to bother also solid mount them (no alignment cams) and get an adjustable UCA. I wish I'd done these a year earlier, and saved myself alot of suffering with failing LCA ball joints and alignment cams.

I went with DK over total chaos due to a) steering bump stops, b)an attachment for limit straps and c) the design of the uni-ball cup.

Sounds good. The hoops won't take near as long as our last project so we'll have a little time to BS and talk about your options. If you remind me the day before you come down I'll bring you some Halibut fillets from my last Alaska trip
