x2, gotta watch for deals and buy over time. I built my first one for 800, but I justify deals that allow me to get better parts for just a few extra bucks, if that makes sense. You can easily build one nowadays for 500-600 if you look for deals or even used parts. I've seen some great uppers sold on gun-broker that were used, but great condition go pretty cheap.

I buy all my 80% stuff on 80-lower.com. a little pricier, but they're great quality. I have the AR15 jig. Just take your time when milling it out if you plan to do it yourself with a router/drill press.

If you have access to a CNC and YOU are the one the push the button, it can turn out clean. Either way, take your time to clean it up and have it cerakoted.

Keep in mind, while it's legal now, milled 80%s will require a serial number IF you plan to register them. You can go featureless or the new bullet button. That doesn't mean you have register an UN-milled 80%.. it's still a paperweight. Only after you mill it does it require registration.

Moving to the Bay Area at the end of the month, Tiburon to be specific.... Any of you guys live in Marin County and have a CCW permit? Or know someone who does? I tried talking to a few folks regarding the matter, and if my current CCW permit can transfer into that county, but no one has given me a good answer. I know its pretty much no guns allowed in that whole bay area, but wasn't sure if someone had beat the system.

    Guns are allowed..

Pretty sure from Sonoma to SF counties CCWs are extremely difficult to get. Sonoma has been in the court system and the legal battle to get to that point has been going on for many years.

Call the Marin County Sheriff, as mentioned. Your permit won't transfer.

    Some really cool shit
Lived in Novato, then Tiburon, for a couple years. Never tried to get a CCW. It's a pain in the ass. But, as suggested, go check in with the Sheriff. I'll make a couple calls. I know some cops from that area.

Permit will not transfer at all. Shitty Kommiefornia and its CCW laws, everything is on a County basis.

Not sure how Marin is, but SoCo is a joke. And Marin is even more liberal than SoCo, good luck.

They will, even if you include the AAL and axle shims. Check out Croms' build.

There is another flip kit, I forget from who at the moment, that is reported as having U bolts that are too short.
