Since I finally have this in the right section  (Thanks Chad) Here we go....
Alright, so.... I'll be headed to San Diego within the next few months.
I have an 05' DC Prerunner Sport, no locker, no 4WD..... *sigh*
SO :D I wanted to get opinions on mods. I have none as of yet, probably swap out the factory stereo here soon. My question pertains to lifts, tires, wheeling, sand, dunes, etc, etc, etc....
I'm lookin for SoCal peeps mostly. What's in San Diego for PreRunners? Would I be better off putting on a lift, shocks, AAL, and some grapplers and doing some "light wheeling"? Or.... putting on some fat tires, possibly a long travel kit  etc, etc and jumping some dunes :D given the fact that I have a PreRunner. General answers are welcome. I don't need sizes of tires, or specific specs just yet. Just some general "hey, what should I do to my Taco" answers :D:D:D TY

Note: I got stuck in the sand at Pismo.... :( made me cry a little inside..

Moving to SoCal huh? The first thing you'll need to do is lift your truck about 18" being sure that the front is a couple of inches higher than the rear. Second, while 44" mudders are recommended, you'll avoid too much shit talking if you at least have 38.5's. Third, you'll need to get a gangsta' honky wardrobe and some sleeve tattoos (see Metal Mulisha for ideas here). Lastly, get to the nearest mall, turn that stereo up real loud, and let the good times roll.

One last note. Never, ever, even in an emergency, let your truck touch a dirt road.

Just kidding guys.;) Don't flame me too bad.

I just don't know the SD area very well, and wasn't sure where there was to go. SD is kinda far from Pismo...... :(

I "live" in Cali.....I'm not "from" Cali haha

Yeah, it's far from Pismo but that's ok, it's close to Glamis. Just as much fun to be had there.

    FUCK
I never know whether to laugh or cry, sometimes I laugh so hard tears come out. Front end jacked the fuck up, rear dropped, moto metal (or soon to be metal mulisha) rims, Monster/Skin/So-cal/Rockstar/Famous stars and straps stickers plastered all over the damn thing, dirt bike goggles hangin from the rear view mirror, and a dude in a basketball jersey with tats, flat bill hat, dickie high waters, knee socks and vans. YAH BRO!

Yea, I can't wait to get down there and go wheelin with you guys :D
The plan as of now: get a locker for the Runner, maybe like 3" lift, some good tread, cb, toolbox, etc. More of like a small trails/ sand / long distance rig (drove to Texas and back last month :D)
And then I've seen a LOT of 1995-2000 4x4's for around $4k in SD. I'll probably pick one up for my serious crawlin. Then I can wheel it to shit, and I won't really care
