I think the third gens come with them standard though. or at least james' did

 

If you're using your phone for mapping/GPS or streaming music over bluetooth, yeah I can see it not charging as much. But yeah I'm fairly happy with Qi/inductive charging.

 

All of that can be added to a 2005-15. people have done entire interior swaps from a 16+

 

Yeah, but for what it would cost to do it you could probably trade your current truck in, buy a '17, and still come out ahead of the game.

 

i was going to order stuff to make my own pad in the taco, but i don't drive it enough or it doesn't bother me enough to go to the trouble. but would have been nice stock

 

I've stopped reading over there almost entirely. Same 10 people complaining over and over.

 

My biggest question about the 3rd gens is if the blower motors have started to squeak/tick yet or not. That was what drove me crazy about my '10. My '99 did it, and when I got the '10 it did not. Then a couple of months in...

I did the oil and rebalance trick a few times, but it only ever lasted a few months at a time before it started again.

 

Other than maybe the sunroof I could care less about any of that.

Then again you've seen my truck..

 

But then you'd have to swap out the 3.5 for the better 4.0

 

Or... Get an F150 that has most of that list standard

Yeah, the only thing on that list that I don't think are available on the XLT (the first model up from base) is the wireless charger.

whats wrong with QI? there are still regular charging ports if you want to go with the cord but other than the factory charger, the trucks QI is the fastest charger ive used on my note 3

 

I was going to settle for a '16 when I was looking into getting the truck at first but came across a '15 with leather interior, among other things, and was sold almost instantly. The '16 exterior just does absolutely nothing for me too
