Bakflip G2 - purchase directly or ebay?

So i have a issue..

been looking for a bakflip g2 folding and it seems that the standard going price is 858.00 from major parts company.

i found one on ebay that is $100 less $745.00 to be exact with free shipping

can anyone give me a reason why i shouldnt go with the ebay one? from my understanding i would still get warranty from bakflip reguardless if i dont buy from a major parts company or not.

 

It states it has a warranty and an extended warranty, don't know what that means. So my only other thing would be is if they are an authorized seller and if an actual issue comes up will they help you? Or will Bakflip tell you to pound sand and you are stuck with a broken T/C? I know it's a 100.00 savings but email Bakflip and ask if they have any authorized sellers on Fleabay. If not I would spend the extra 100.00 an order it from the factory which will stand behind you. Just my thoughts with having well over a 1,000 purchases on the Bay you do get screwed sometimes

 

This question is around my corner as I bought the exact G2 cover from BakFlip in August.
I purchased through Amazon and about the same $900ish price. Although the cover did not come straight from BakFlip, BakFlip was very quick to help it on any warranty issue.

After open ring the package, I noticed some scratches underside of the panels. Also, I had some glue seeping from top after the cover was sitting out in the sun for few hours.

I contacted BakFlip with these concerns and they quickly recognized my concern and offered to send a new replacement cover.
Only prerequite from BakFlip is that I drill a hole or paint over to prevent anyone reselling their defective product. They want pictures emailed.

I have yet to do this because I was just too lazy. Regardless, I love this aluminum trifold tonneau cover over the factory thick plastic cover. Little pricey than other offering out there but well worth it.

As long as its authorized dealer, BakFlip will honor factory warranty. Get it if possible from Amazon, your chance of resolving shipment or product issues will be almost guarantee to be resolved promptly

autocustoms.com is the parent company of realtruck.com and tonneaucoversworld.com, you will get the same price from them. autoanything was quoting a cheaper price but did not have in stock. so i purchased mine from autocustoms.com i got the revolver x2 and i love it.
