King sets the rebound when they valve them for you... those valving disks are on both sides of the piston.

The ome stuff is sweet. I'm sure you will enjoy the new setup. I was tossing between ome and king for a year now....

Right, I just didn't want to mess with swapping out shim stacks.

I think most people here know I always have a .44mag when out in the bush. Smith and Wesson model 629. I've learned to handle the recoil and I like the weight, it seems to hold steady in my hand. When i first picked it up I started practicing with .44 special. Nice to have that option.

My mom, heaven forbid, is armed now and practicing with .38 special before trying .357. These fuckers in HI keep robbing her medical pot farm and at first she was trying to run out there with bear spray. Whoever these guys are they are using a machete or big garden clippers to cut the stock and run.

Yes she has dogs but not a German Shepard. She has motion sensors and dogs barking and jumps up out of bed to run out to the back yard. It's been a while now so hopefully they don't come back.

Now the new issue is my grandma over there is old and need aides in the house to help her. Well first an envelope of money went missing and then some jewelry. Detectives got one girl to admit there was collusion between multiple aides to steal everything they could and even suffocate grandma.:mad::mad::mad::mad: Grand Jury just decided there is enough evidence to prosecute.

So aside from gripes about the automatic transmission(I'll be getting a manual) and some people not liking the appearance, what are some other gripes of the 3rd gen Tacoma? Going to look at them on Saturday and possibly buy.(Dark Grey, Silver, Inferno TRD OR DBLCB SB 6 speed)

My first interaction with URD about 5 years ago was AWESOME.

However, every time in the past couple of years it has been a joke. Most recently I paid to have something shipped with "2 day shipping" and they say on it for a week before shipping with "2 day shipping". The last few times I called them they never returned my call.

Think an important question is why are you looking at a Tacoma? Wanting a mid-size truck?

I can think of some reasons I wouldnt want one unless specifically looking at mid-sized...
    -Price (expensive)
    -Meh gas milage
    -Meh power
    -Meh towing capacity
-Leg room is only ok in a DC (imo)

I have plenty of reasons for liking my Tacoma....just not sure Id buy a new one

Sorry, I should've been more specific. Any feedback from current 3rd gen owners? All that is listed above I am ok with, I don't need a big full size truck and I want a Toyota specifically. I've heard there have been some small issues with the 2016s which is fairly normal for a the first year of a full re-design, but I'm hoping those have been weeded out for 2017.

I've had mine for over a year and honestly haven't had any of the problems. I don't nitpick though. My dash, like many others, rattles on the passenger side when it's cold (I can fix that though just haven't had the time). I knew I wouldn't be getting super great gas mileage (only get about 1-2 less than what I was used to), but you should think about everything Velilen said. I don't really need to tow anything, I don't always have a lot of passengers, but the leg room works fine for my friends even with 5 of us in there.

But it is perfect for my mild off-roading, hunting, and hauling crap around. (Plus I always wanted a Tacoma).

A lot to think about, and I know there are some people having issues, but I think for the most part they are pretty solid.

Yeah like I said, I don't need a big full size truck with a ton of room or pulling power, and I want to stick with Toyota. I have a military trailer that I was going to build into a camp trailer but I'm actually thinking of letting that go as I just don't have the time for it right now.

Yeah! I was in mid-type when you posted that. Honestly though, I haven't had any problems with mine other than the dash rattle. I've put 25k on in 13.5 months and it's been smooth sailing

I have both a Tacoma and a 4runner. The 4runner is more superior in just about everyway. Unless you need a bed your getting more out of a 4runner. I still love my Taco...
