Used my winch today in a real situation. I don't wanna hear that the M8000 isn't powerful enough.

Winched out an LMTV who was dug in to his axles.

Nope. I tried 3x, and 2 others tried once. Time for surgery.

MT here, engine burns oil (about 1-2 quarts betweeen changes) on my 16, and the Nav/Radio likes to reboot randomly when it's wet.

Which it never is in the Northwest.

I could be more displeased, but for now it's a keeper.

Any recommendations for lifted alignments in the greater Seattle area? Rumor has it the Issaquah Firestone was doing a good job at one point, that still the case?

I've only personally experienced the radio/nav restart issue, which was remedied with a new system, and just recently started hearing the rattle on the front passenger dash, which I'll be getting looked at soon. I haven't had many customers call in for anything besides those two items. I work in a Toyota service department...

As for leg room in the back seat of the double cab, I think it's plenty enough for us. We don't have kids, so the small trips with friends are just fine. I've sat in the rear seats a few times and have been totally comfortable. I'm 5'6".

So, other than that, I love my Kobie!

Nice! From the pics looks like you ran a double snatch block setup. How was the line speed?

Yeah two block setup. Maths says we had 24,000 lbs of force that way. And we needed it. He wasn't a small toy.

Line speed on a straight pull for the winch is quick. Put it under load like we did, we weren't feeding line, we were just getting a force until we broke him free. We were drawing big electric loads on the winch, too I could definitely see why guys run dual battery setups.

Me me me...my dodge has a DB lift and watching the wife get in is kind of amusing. She told me I need step rails, and I said how about sliders and she didn't say no.

On another note, I was out last night with my trailer neighbors at a local brewery and in 4wd in the powdery 3" of snow, truck did great. In 2wd, she was slipping a lot more, but I also have nothing in the bed.

Which one you get? I've been keeping an eye out for one....probably a jd3 since they are cheap, simple, and do up to 2" tube.

On another not had 6" of snow at my house. got stuck in my driveway....well for a second. rolled forward and stopped then the wheels we're slipping in 2wd. being 430 in the morning I was nice and didn't just rev the engine to get going and instead went 4wd. main roads are all fine around me surprisingly. most secondary roads got plowed at least once.

But man there are some dumb people out. saw a 4runner who must of been 2wd with bald ass tires just slipping and sliding everywhere. guy barely got going on a flat intersection. course his 4runner also sounded like it would blow up at any minute. People like him are why I do my damnest to not drive if there's any snow. I know I'll be fine, it's people like him that mess everything up though

You mean driving in snow isn't about pushing the skinny pedal to the floor from a stop, then standing on the big pedal to stop?

It is when you want to have fun and do it on purpose :) not so much when doing it at a busy main intersection.
