Maybe, but why should I, the customer, have to figure shit out. A simple piece of paper with parts list, where to use them and a couple of fucking pictures should be included with the hardware.

These are the beam clamps to pinch the frame mentioned by @jowybyo

I believe he meant 'pinch' here instead of pitch. I can assume with some certainty, because my Mobtown sliders used similar, if not the same, clamps on the rear part of the frame

Edit: Step #15 should help you out with the function of the clamp.

You shouldn't. They could have, at the very least, sent a PDF
or something in the confirmation email.

Ya I just received the full set and cannot believe with the bag of nuts and bolts that it did not come with instructions. SMH. To me this is a no brainer. you produce a product but do not include instructions!? So let me get this straight we lay out all components and do trial and error swearing and bitching until we figure it out. Nice.
What this does is leave one with buyers remorse. Also the website did not mention that aluminum skids are not for offroad use!!! F*** me running. nice job MOBTOWN.
I just threw away good dollars on a ugly set of sliders with no access to my oil filter without a royal PITA removal. Wished C4 had skids I wouldnt have this issue.

What does this mean? They offer 1/4" Aluminum skids. They should function reasonably offroad, not as good as the steel but are half the weight.

Given the type of debris and shape (hardness and pointy) and with force, aluminum can puncture and tear with relative ease. Not great for abuse. Especially repetitive! ( I now find myself writing things like I am explaining them to my 3 year old!)

I think we all know this, but it would take a pretty good amount of force to puncture 1/4" aluminum. Considering most people don't rock crawl and are mostly traversing fire access roads, overlanding, and the occasional state park. Aluminum is fine.

Yeah, the Mobtown alum plate has some beefiness too it. It looks like it'll bend or dent/gouge up before it'll tear or puncture. It's a solid 25 pounds and 1/4" alum plate.

Not at all discrediting mobtown, just a addressing the statement mobtown posts regarding the aluminum skid as posted by the previous post.
I went to the other side of the spectrum and ordered BAMF's 1/4 steel. Almost Chuck Norris proof.

It's well documented by pretty much everybody that aluminum skids aren't for off-roading. A little research and you would have found this out relatively quick. With that being said though as long as you're not constantly bashing them on rocks they will be just fine.

They are also not reinforced/supported at the bend like most other skids including their own steel skids.
