    Def stay on the freeway through town. That stretch of 285 and 75 can seriously suck. Take it from a former Atlanta resident.

    I'd take the way that goes through Sandy Springs. That way you cut above atl a bit. Friday 4pm is gonna be more like 5pm bc people leaving work early.

    I would take the route that says 4 hr, 22 mins by Sandy Springs.

    Plug in that route again as you get closer to ATL. The Sandy Springs section of the perimeter freeway will be stop and go- at best- but only for the shorter distance.

    Going through the middle of ATL will likely take longer at that time.

    Just re do the route when you are close- to take the traffic into account. And get ready for everyone to cut you off- even for one car length...
