Reading is fundamental. I asked for input on a Nissan Titan, not your criticism of how many trucks I've owned.

Yes... folks like me. Save your righteous self indignation

Awesome. I like the silver but think I'm gonna stick with white for mine. I'll get one eventually but emotionally am not ready to part with my super duty.

    Any build plans?

Thanks Gents. No real build plans, I'll probably level it and swap out the wheels tires. I am not a chrome fan so the first upgrade would be wheels.

1/2 ton truck with over 1 ton in the bed. Not regretting my swap either...

image.jpg I made the change as well. Love my 5.0, no problems at all 15.5k on the clock. Only thing that kinda sucks is 18mpg real world city. Not as bad as some but I do love this truck every am I get in it.

Now the new '17 Raptor videos on youtube got me wanting one. That is a nice truck. I guess hundreds if not thousands are sitting due to an issue with that 10 speed trans, but its probably just firmware issues... They will work it out and start shipping soon I bet.
I built one on the Ford site and it came in at $70k. Too much for me but looks amazing non the less & shit ton of power too.

Remember with Ford they usually sell $10k under MSRP. Now thats with their regular models but don't see how the Raptor would be any different.

Is the new tundra going to have the same Cummings engine as titan or will it be different?

I think the Tundra diesel is still in the rumor phase. Also I would doubt Cummins would be able to provide the same powerplant as found in the Titan. Normally there is some exclusivity associated with those deals. Don't know that for certain, but I would be really surprised if Toyota could offer that same powerplant.

18 mpg? That's better than a third gen, and it has a V8. It sounds like it gets close to what the window sticker says it should get, but can't be possible. If Toyota can't build a truck that gets within 5 mpg of the EPA ratings, no one can, am I right? :crapstorm:

The last generation of Raptors were selling for over sticker a year or two ago, and used ones are sky high right now, even with the body style change coming. The new ones will be the same. A run of the mill F150, will definitely sell for $10K off.

Even with all the reported problems of the 3rd gen. RAM is still among the least reliable vehicles on the planet.

My old Dodge 24v Cummins was pretty damned reliable.

Day I bought it over 13 years ago with 75K on the ODO-

    DSC04961-vi_d88e139e396970ce1c6d762775ae9ea98939b4e4.jpg

Day I sold last April with over 215-225K on the ODO-

In between then it only left me stranded once with a blown return fuel line in remote Montana. Only had to replace a fuel pump and general wear and tear items. And I used this truck like a truck- hard. Interior was still in good shape, truck had lots of life left in it...

    Yup.

Oh and I bought it for $18,000 and sold it for $14,000. Stick that in the resale pipe and smoke it.

There are bound to be anomalies. Glad you were one of them!

EDIT: No shift on the fly? Damn my Ford was 7 years older than yours and had shift on the fly.
