@vssman probably remembers this too, when I was a member of the Turbo Diesel Register forum, there was an option that we as members could take advantage of and participate in, the TDR Traveler's Companion: a voluntary register of members who were willing to lend a hand to other members in a time of need if they were away from home and encountered trouble. I'll go see if I still have one lying around somewhere, but the gist of it was, you signed up, provided contact info and your location, facilities you have access to (driveway, garage, shop, lift, etc.), services you were willing to provide as needed (tools, tow, couch/spare room). In theory, another member who had also agreed to participate, if they had trouble with their vehicle while in your area, could reach out for a little help if they needed it and if you were available could provide whatever assistance you were able to. Do you guys think something like that would have any traction here on TW? @tcBob

Yes, agreed, I like my option more than yours. And when I get there all I have to do is turn around instead of put on my happy face for co-workers. I'm driving to see a buddy in Middlebury VT tonight and hopefully I'll be sober enough to drive the hour and 15 to Lake George by mid-morning.

I've been to Middlebury once and also been to Rosie's. Really good food.
