I looked at Westminster as well but out of state and a bit of a drive. I ended up going with Sheehy. Engine and oil changes for life so cant complain.

Each to their own. Vehicles cost way too much to me to settle.

I had a specific config in mind for my truck. Nobody had it, didn't exist on any lots in the region. I worked with a dealer who gave me a fantastic price and factory ordered it. I ended up with *exactly* what I wanted, no more, no less.

    Stock....ish
I went to Passport Toyota in Suitland, MD and ordered my truck to the exact specs I wanted and paid invoice. They were able to help me out while other dealers in the area wouldn't even entertain the idea of ordering a truck to what I wanted. Instead other dealers would try to sell me something I didn't want. You should try purchasing with them the next time. They made me happy.

I was dead set on a '17 DCSB Sport 4x4 Manual Transmission in Blazing Blue Pearl. I searched and waited a year and a half before I found an exact match 100 miles away from me. I drove down and traded my Ram on it two weeks ago.

You should have just gone to a few other dealers around you and see if anyone else could do a dealer trade or place an order for you. You should NOT have settled! It appears you're already regretting it.

I kind of find this comical, I wanted white, double cab, 6 spd, short bed and the trd sport. I went to one dealership and it was a 2 month wait. I went to another and it was, "we'll call you tomorrow and see what we can do"
I went to a third dealership and was told to wait 5 minutes. I was then led to the sales managers office where he showed me they have 2 locally and it would take 24-48 hours to pull it and have it flat decked over.

If you REALLY wanted a 4x2 in blue... you could of gotten one. To me it sounds like your complaining. Have a good day sir

No real regret to be clear. I have a SR5 now and like the truck. I'm sure the new one will be even better.

OP, just curious, what was you reason for creating this thread? I don't quite get what is so frustrating about your purchase, you settled for something other than what you really wanted- I am frustrated thinking why you would do such a thing, but why are you frustrated?

And also, good luck with the new truck, nothing wrong with the SR5 -

The two month wait and Toyota corporate denying my order for a 4x2 optioned the way I wanted it to this area.

But like I said it will be just fine. I've loved all my other Tacoma's and I'm sure I'll love the new one.

Scale of one to ten how happy are you with this purchase? 10 is pantera and 1 is nickleback.

I would say Metallica (sorry that's a 9.5 for me) although I liked Cowboys from Hell.

    all tore up already
you are shocked about dealers in the northeast not stocking a 32000 dollar 2wd truck? 99% of people would take the vehicle you did over one with a scoop and bigger screen but 2wd

High pressure sales? I bought a truck under high pressure one time. Then I researched and spent lots of time making sure it never happened again. Congrats on the new tacoma, and lesson. Ive loved every toyota ive ever owned

Same here. The wait was painful, but in the end it was worth it. I figured I had already waited over a year saving for it, a few more weeks wouldn't kill me to get exactly what I wanted.

Free oil change for life ?

    Any mileage restrictions ?

Every 5k miles or what the owners manual calls for ?

    Synthetic oil ?

Yes sir. No mileage restriction, synthetic oil, every 10k. So when my Toyota care is gone they will still cover the oil changes.
