805 before the 8, you exit university if I remember correctly.
Bars in the location include; coin op, polite provisions, true north, bar pink, blue foot, and many more.

Yup, San-O camp grounds are great too and if you surf IMO Cardiff is the best beach camping spot because you have Cardiff Reef, Pipes and Swamis all right there in walking distance so you never have to move the truck...and for non roughing it convenience factor you have great food all within walking distance too. Camping at Cardiff and grilling a Seaside Market burgundy tri tip aka " Cardiff crack " is hard to beat ( insert Homer Simpson drooling sound here )

That shit's amazing... the company I work for will get like 20 pounds of it to grill up for lunch on occasional fridays. Best. Fridays. Ever.

The San Elijo State Park campground (at Cardiff) also has Bull Taco on-site which has amazing California Mexican food, but I seem to recall they close early so plan accordingly.

California Mexican food is authentic but unique items like duck street tacos, the well-liked California burrito (carne asada, guac, cheddar, rice, cilantro)

The first time I heard about Cardiff crack I considered it unnecessary exaggeration and sensationalism. Then I ate some. Crack is an appropriate metaphor. We have it several times a year now.

Having read the about Cardiff-Crack in this thread, we made our way to Seaside Market this morning and bought two pounds of goodness. Report to follow.

My prediction? You will be sad you only bought two pounds. You may get into a fight with your significant other for the last piece.

    All kidding aside, enjoy!

I apologize for introducing you to a gateway drug ...

P.S. Pretty much every side item in their deli is crack level as well, Seaside spuds are a must have with the burgundy tri tip.

Seaside Market in Cardiff, burgundy marinade tri tip - on the weekends they do grill it up and sell lunch plates stupid cheap for what you get, they also have it for a bunch of options in the deli I.E.: lunch bowls and sandwiches. Other than that it is DIY by the pound and probably more expensive than actual crack...
