Not seeing how this thing is so great. It looks like all of the mounting points put your devices in front of the climate controls or stereo.

Not trying to shit on their product, but it sure looks like it from the pics. Otoh, their rear view mirror bracket looks kick ass. I did an ImMrYo bracket and love it. Anyone that hasn't done this should, the little bit it raises it makes a surprisingly big difference.

He's a member here that made an adapter very similar to what birddawg has on their site. I'm pretty sure he stopped making them. One of the best simple little things I've done to my truck. The taller you are the more you will appreciate having it raised. Really opens up your view. Iirc, they were $21 shipped.

I don't stare at my radio or my climate controls while I'm driving, but I do occasionally look at the GPS, phone, or iPad mini that I mount on my tech deck.

How clutttered you make it all depends on how much stuff you think you need mounted at once, and how long the arms are that you use. Especially with steering wheel controls, my double din headunit is still fully functional, and it's not difficult to remember where the climate controls are, or see them if you need to.

Maybe I'll post a pic when I get back in my truck after work.

The switches to the left of the steering wheel are more difficult to see while driving than the headunit or climate controls.
