Haha, I only roll down the windows and turn the tunes up when I know what the noise is. Ex) tire noise, slightly squeaky uppers, exhaust:headbang:

Sounds good! We’ve got a few gps apps with tracks so hopefully there will be NO getting lost on this run. Ive ran soda lake before and seen the monument but hopefully it doesn’t get wet. Ive heard stories of it being a nightmare if its wet when people try to cross!

Its really hard to get lost with exception of the end before the Afton canyon. Those sand "dunes" have tracks and washes everywhere. Oh shit!! Where do you live?? I need fireworks and lots of them for the superstion meet. There's a gas station/smoke shop/fireworks shop at Avi Casino. I can possibly pay pal you money if you're down to stash some explosives for me? Lol

The first time I got lost (when I had the book, but no gps track) was trying to do the detour on the trail but from what I’ve read recently the majority just go through it..

As far as the fireworks situation thats fine with me, or @Mike likes Tacos if he’s going to the superstition meet, I can’t make it on this dates. But I also live in AZ most of the year due to school so I can also snag the good ones whenever i'm coming back home (socal) for things..

That Cali 4x4 book that most of us have won't cut it for the Mojave. Paying attention to an odometer and stopping to read a book is no fun when there's so much awesome to see. Haha.

You're awesome, dude. I really need to start stashing more fireworks at home for desert meet and such. Ill be in AZ in March for spring training. You gonna be there? I'd like to hit a trail while there. And get more fireworks and Tannerite as well. @Mike likes Tacos , you going to superstition?

The book I have brought along was the Mojave Book designed for the trail BUT your 100% right when you said stopping and checking the odo is no fun when there is so much to see.

As for March I will be here in Flagstaff, AZ mainly. Ive got a Moab trip planned with a local club for March 10-14 but free just about the rest of the month. If you find time to hit a trail or two definitely shoot me a pm!

Will do. Also, 1 spot left on my Utah Traverse run in April/May. I think you would have a lot of fun.

Yea I subbed that thread a few hours after you posted. Looks like a blast and wish one day I could tag along but doesn’t look like 7-10 days off school in april/may is going to happen unless it was after May 12:pout:

Got a buddy of mine visiting from Oregon tomorrow for the weekend, going to take him out to Drinkwater/Rowher Flats again if anyone's interested in coming along. Planning on Sunday morning. Going to chill for awhile up at the top of Rowher where the tables are and do lunch/beers. Assuming it's not as windy as it was last weekend, holy hell it was like a freezing hurricane up there.

After my dad and mom separated, my brother and I convinced him to buy a new Camaro, haha. That thing was a blast to drive, wasn't the top of the line model but the one right below it...had the Corvette motor.

He kept it for 5 months then traded it in on a Chevy Volt, lol.

The Camaro was a total mid-life crisis impulse buy that my brother and I were guilty of pushing on him, lol. Probably because we really wanted to drive it more than anything. He has a 60 mile round trip daily work commute, so the Volt was much more practical.

Last minute bump for a night run tonight. I won't go alone.

I just got done installing my light bar and I gotta justify the expense already.
