    anybody ever have a body shop paint your aluminum wheels black?

    the stock ones that came on my limited Look as tho they are steel covers in crome & black over the aluminum wheels

    OME 3" lift 881 coils, Dakar's 33" General Grabber AT2's TG low profile front bumper
    the stuff I used; rattle can duplicolor, stuck surprisingly well and looks great, and its super cheap. At least try spray paint first to see what you think of it.

    this was on steels. however, my brother painted his aluminum wheels with duplicolor too though and it looks like it worked well there too.

    I've also painted wheels with spray paint. Prep, prime, paint, clear coat. Turned out great and looked like factory wheels.

    ^^ thats the way to do it, I literally just super cleaned the wheels and painted right on them with no sanding or primer lol

    thanx to all. you advice sounds fairly easy & straightforward. I think i'll wait till this artic blasts rolls thru(maybe even into spring) & try sprayin them myself. I was fairly certain that they Were some cheezy crome wheel cover-overs on good alloy wheels, Go Figure! thanx
