hey all, trying to diagnose a new sound that's occurring.

My truck is an '07 manual 115,000 miles.

When I am accelerating there's is a sound from the engine area, on my drivers side.

Sounds like a super duty as far as I can hear, a turbocharger esq noise. Is it a pulley?

I just had the tires replacdd. Idk why that would cause this but that's the only recent thing I've done so I figure I would throw it out there.

Get a mechanics stethoscope and place the rod on the bolt of each pulley with the engine running. I had the exact same noise coming from my engine bay and that tool solved my problem in about 10 seconds.

Could be a hundred different things... but check the rubber boots that connect the pieces of the intake together?

I'm just trying to think of fast moving air locations

A diesel chugging sound would happen to me occasionally while accelerating from a stop. it's been happening for years. All I figured out was my tire's needed more air. Low air in my tire's caused my truck to use more power to accelerate. Once I pumped the tires up more, it went away for the most part.

This is all I've been able to figure out. If you find anything else, please let me know. I posted a thread on here a year ago about it.
