I got my Tacoma because I wanted a double cab long bed mid sized pickup and the Tacoma was the best around. My wife is real short and has a problem getting into the truck. For that matter, I am a senior citizen, and sometimes it is bit high for me. I don't do off road, heck I haven't seen a dirt road in a few years. It would be nice to drop it down two or three inches. I have the TRD Sport. I know lowering goes against what most guys want to do, but this is something that would benefit us a great deal.

Any suggestions? Don't send me the picture of the pink stool that was used when the guy said people were scratching the sill getting in. I took off the stock running boards and put on Nurf bars that are a couple of inches lower.

I looked into the lowering thing to a while back (never did it though), and the tundraracing.com kit was the only one that I found. Not much out there for this unless you want to DIY with some lowering shackles and spring cutting -> I wouldn't do that, but to each there own.

have you considered bolt on running boards? they would at least help you step up to the truck.

I would look into running boards. Dealer might have a truck on the lot with them installed, check and see if they will work for you.
