    I know cooper discoverer STs can be had pretty cheap. The real problem is actually finding 255/85/16 tires in stock somewhere. I got my BFG MT KMs from Tigerfan with plenty of tread wear for wheelin tires.

    the taller tire is the 255 and for the most part they are considerably cheaper. on discounttiredirect.com the km2 in the 285 can be had for 236 where the 255 is 202.

    another friend had em (thats how i knew about them) and got 50k out of them. thats pretty good out of a MT

    your buddy mustve been lucky as ive never seen a set last past 30K and to get to 30K they were bald, flat spotted, and just overall the worst on road ride tire ive had on my truck

    new...they work AMAZING offroad...but wear that tread down a little and youll hate driving on road

    The difference looks like a lot but the 255 is really only about 1/2" taller. In the picture, one of those tires has the weight of a truck compressing it. The other one is just chillin'.:cool:

    I like my setup here and would do it again cause of the narrowness of the tire. Cuts thru the snow well and does great in the mud. I aslo like to run Heavy Duty truck chains for the snow.255-85-16 KM2
