The "Easy" part of your request greatly amplifies the difficulty of meeting the desired result.

Are you looking for panel-rattling bass, or just to fill in the current sound?

I have the Kenwood KSC-SW11 in my Super Duty and it works terrific for what I want

    Quick video review...

This will NOT give you booming bass, it WILL make your system sound 100% better.

And it IS easy to install.

I have a 3rd Gen with the Entune Plus. the two most worthwhile improvements you can make is to swap out the factory "tweeter" with a better unit like a JBL, MB Quart, Infinity, etc.. I went with the MB Quart 1" dome in a custom mounting flange, totally transformed the soundstage. I added the Kicker HS-8 to bring in the low end and that worked very well. I even have the bass knob installed so I can control the bass. Everything I did is plug n play and did not require any cutting except having to cut up the crappy paper tweeter to get the OE plug to avoid cutting that harness. They system rivals the Fender Premium audio I had in my '15 VW GTI Autobahn now.

So I have an opportunity to purchase a custom made box for 2 10" subs for behind my back seat. I have a 3rd gen non-JBL. From what I have read, the space behind the back seat is the same as a 2nd gen. The box I am looking at was made for and installed in a 2nd gen. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

That looks like a nice setup. How does it sound? What kind of music do you listen to and do you feel like it's enough bass? I'm doing a sub soon and I want to get the most bass I can without spending a ton of money and I know the pioneers historically have sounded pretty good without breaking the bank.

Sounds great to me. I listen to a little of everything. Mostly electronica, metal and 90s alternative. Use the sub control knob to turn it up more on metal songs then down a little for the dub dub bass.

It is exactly what I wanted. More bass than an 8 could deliver and loud anough you can feel it when it really hits. I wasn't expecting anything ear shattering, but it still manages to deliver more than I expected.

I did replace all the other speakers and run new speaker wires for all, so it was a dramatic change over the crappy factory equipment.
My wife ends up taking the truck now when I'm not usin it cause she likes to push the sub.

That's probably the route I'll end up going, I think you've sold me. I really like where you put the bassknob, I didn't even think about putting it there.
