    2017 TRD OR 4x4 DCSB
    Auto
    Tow package
Premium and Tech Package w/ JBL
    Carpet Floor Mats
    D-rings

    MSRP: $39,590 (including destination)
    Negotiated price: $36,920
    Toyota rebate -$500*
    Total before TTL: $36,420

    OTD price: $39,029

The dealer said he had been working there 16 years and had never seen a MFR's rebate for a Tacoma. I picked it up at the Texas State Fair truck display in exchange for signing up for the Toyota spam list. The rebate expired on 11/30, my truck was ordered in mid September and arrived on 11/28, two days before expiration. I was stoked when they said they accepted it (fine print said truck must be taken from Dealer stock, so I was thinking they may play that card since it was ordered and delivered that day).

I think I did well with the original negotiation, the rebate was icing.

    Right on.

I'm in the same boat. I was waiting on a 2017 trd pro when the dealer called and said the pro was on hold and wouldn't be here till summer 2017 (which turned out to be a lie). Glad they did cause they offered me a 2015 DCSB TRD sport with 1200 miles on it for $28k OTD. Saved about 17k and got a better truck IMO.

I doubt he did, people like to exaggerate these things. Dealers don't discount highly in demand trucks like tacomas for almost $5k, same truck would sell the next day to someone else for far less of a discount.

This site is funny. Just because I got a better deal than you means it must not have happened, right?

Just like over a year ago when I test drove a new '16 model and didn't like the lack of bottom end power compared to the 4.0 and members claimed that I must not be able to afford one and that's the real reason I didn't get it.

Believe me or not, I don't care

Post your purchase paper with your personal info blacked out and shut everyone up. You will be helping out other members by proving that it IS possible to get almost $5k off msrp on a 2017 Tacoma....

    You were saying?

    20161210_082919_d0e38dddf8985f9530c24597f400c3a8cb13ee91.jpg

As I said before, $40,857 MSRP. Purchased for $36,807 = $4050 off. Then another $500 rebate for military discount = $4550 off. Maybe you should work on your negotiation skills instead of criticize and call those who are better than you a liar.

My original post so you can't claim I changed anything:
"Off Road, JBL premium technology package, tonneau, tow, all weather mats. Gotta get rid of those step bars. $40,857 and got it for $36,307 for $4550 off (with $500 military discount)"

And go ahead and say that isn't the right form to get the military discount, have to finance through Toyota. Yeah, I know. That was the initial purchase form when I brought in a check. I left that night with that deal in place pending Toyota matching or beating the loan I had set up. Just got the FedEX with the new form last night and mailed it back, then I'll get my paperwork back.

Sensitive much? I said "doubt" as in unlikely you got a truck for $2000 under invoice the dealer is losing money on that deal so yes it's seemed like you were exaggerating as many would think. Congrats on your deal of a lifetime.

Finally maybe rethink your ignorant statement "better than you" you know nothing about me, nothing about my deal and because you got a great deal on your truck dosent mean your better than anyone here, everyone scenario is different. I see your military as well, be mindful of your posts and how they are represented as a representative of such.

Looks like you had $3415 equity in your Tundra your traded in.

To show the full story you should post the whole pink slip and really shut people up!

Equity has nothing to do with selling price.

    The sheet goes:
    Selling price
    Delivery & Handling
    Total Additions
    Total purchase price
    Trade in allowance
    Net taxable amount
    Total taxes and fees
    Payoff on trade
    Total
    Rebates
    Down payment
    Balance on delivery

But we can't tell if that selling price was pre or post trade allowance. Post that pink sheet!

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
My fiancé bought my truck so I didn't pay a dime!!! Beat that price! Had to put a ring on that though!

Again, rethink your statement. You said, "I doubt he did, people like to exaggerate these things. Dealers don't discount highly in demand trucks like tacomas for almost $5k, same truck would sell the next day to someone else for far less of a discount." So lets look at that.

    "I doubt he did" = he's lying
"Dealers don't discount highly in demand trucks like Tacomas for almost $5k" = stilll say he's lying
"...same truck would sell the next day to seomeone else for far less of a discount": very true. Some get good deals, some get great deals, some get bad deals. In the end the dealers make money not just through one purchase, but big picture. They meet their quota and they get bonuses.

But let me ask you something, what benefit would someone get by lying to a bunch of strangers they'll likely never meet about their purchase price? I don't see the point. People asked about how I was able to save that much, was happy to type it out.

I got $4550 off this. Got nearly $6100 off my Tundra. Got somewhere around $5k off my '15 Tacoma which is somewhere on this forum. There are dozens of dealerships to choose from if you live in a large enough area, if one doesn't give you the deal you want, just go to another. It isn't hard, just takes a little time.

Selling price is the agreed to price of the truck you're purchasing. Has nothing to do with trade or anything else. But alright, don't believe me. Don't care

2107 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Sport, Access Cab, V6, Auto, with towing package and Prem and Tech pkg, plus carpet mats, paint protection and TOYOGUARD, plus a few smaller ones.

    MSRP was $38,137 plus $649 doc fee = $38,786
I bought it for $35,000 OTD
    Discount = $3786 (9.76%)

No trade in and no discounts.

YAHOO. I am extremely happy and think I got a good deal also. The deals are out there you just have to work for them!!!
