I guess I'll pimp my sled.

2.7 Manual pulls the 33's no problem with the 3.92 gears. I'm totally regretting buying 4.88's. I live in the hills and have no problem getting around or keeping up with traffic at 80.

I haven't pounded any curbs yet, will update once the pounding commences.

Nice. I figured it would be fine with 33s. I've had excess power up gnar hills, could go 80 and then blast it to pass and maintain passing speed.

@stun gun Yeah, when you hit the steep hills the angry squirrels start fighting, but it was that way stock. I think 4.10's would be ideal, for everyday, and 4.30 or 4.56 if you do a lot of hauling.

You'd never see a difference going from a 3.90 to a 4.11, not worth the money. For a manual, maybe 4.56 but the 4.88 barely cuts it with an automatic. No other gear options though so it is what it is.

Wheels are Level 8 Bully Pros 16x8.5 with -4.5 backspace. Tires are 285/75/16 General AT/2. Had to have the body mounts cut and rewelded, plastic cut, to keep from rubbing. Gonna have the front lifted after everything settles from the initial install. Thank you for the compliment! I am partial and think it's a Beauty!!! The truck is a 6cyl and automatic trans. With the mods and wheels it won't even shift into 6th gear.

The SR DC 4x4 is a rare option?

I don't know if it is a rare option. I didn't like the grill or the plastic fender trim of the TRD OR. That plastic will start turning white and unsightly in a handful of years. Crawl control isn't that big of a deal to me... but I wouldn't mind if it was on my truck though.

It's the exact opposite here in MI. None of the lots stock SR AC cab 4x4s only the 2wd SR work trucks. But almost every lot within 50 miles (7 dealers) has a minimum of 2 DCSB SR 4x4.

In Canada to get a SR 4x4 it is only available in 5spd.

I agree with most of your thoughts, the dark grey wheels, that was one of the deciding factors on why i ordered the 2017 SR 4X4 5spd, I like the colour matched fender flares, I don't like the black/grey flares.
