I ordered Harrop e-lockers for my 80. Should be here in a couple days. I'm very excited. I think Harrop should do some more advertising in the states. Viable alternative to air lockers IMO.

Cool. I don't know too much about the Harrop lockers but they look like a great option. I've always been a big fan of selectable lockers, probably because my trucks have always been daily drivers as well as trail rigs and it's been nice to not have locked axles on the road. That said, I did have an Aussie locker in my last 80 and thought it was fantastic with excellent road manners. Each type has it's strengths and drawbacks. The pros of the selectable ones are obvious, one of the downsides is the extra mechanisms to control the lockers that are potential failure points, whether its a leaky air line or manifold on an ARB, or electric actuators on an e-locker like the factory ones or Harrop, or even cable actuators like on the OX or factory cable lockers that can need periodic adjustment. There is also a bit of delay in engagement with selectable lockers. ARB's tend to lock up quicker than the factory e-lockers. It'll be interesting to see how the Harrop stacks up with speed. IMO, the speed of engagement is not a big deal like some make it out to be. I suppose if you were running selectables in a comp rig, the speed could be a factor but for most people it's a matter of waiting 2-3 more seconds, big deal.

If the Harrop proves to be strong and effective, I'm sure it will grow in popularity.

Few minor changes coming. I've got new front swaybar disconnects. The swaybars on these trucks aren't a hinderance to travel as much as they can be on other trucks, but a little more movement from the front end won't be bad. Also, all new rear suspension links are on the way. I'm getting some prototype adjustable arms (uppers and lowers) from Trail Tailor. Poly bushings at the frame ends, johnny joints at the axle with adjustment to correct axle location and pinion angle. Here's latest photos of the lowers (3 sets of lowers here).

Ordered new tires today. Should be here Monday. As much as I wanted to get another set of MTR's I just didn't have the cabbage, so trying something different. Staying on 35's. My MTRs still have about 50% tread left and they'll be going onto my son's minitruck along with the factory 80 wheels.

The mod I'm most excited for is that I'll be upgrading from the Stage 1 Slinky/Icon shocks to the Stage 4's. That means internal bypass, remote reservoir, internal bump zone, compression and rebound adjustments.

Not sure what you mean....the ride? The noise? Or how the tires wear?

It's definitely not like driving BMW 7 series, it's a truck and I don't mind it feeling a bit like one. I'm super happy with the suspension so the ride is great. There's some minor noise from the MT tires but not enough to bother me. I've been daily driving built trucks for more than 20 years so maybe I'm just deaf and used to it.

Hey Adam, which tires are those? I can't really tell from the pics. And nice looking control arms.

Sorry for not being more specific, I was meaning the noise levels. I just put some KO2's on my truck but would love to bump up to 315's maybe this summer. I worry about M/T's ability to handle ice and snow. Are you sliding around much?

MTs will slide a bit more on icy roads. Having them siped helps a lot. I've done that with all my MTs.

Here's my old KM2s after they were siped. Most tire shops should be able to do it for you.
