I wasn't in any hurry. I needed a new one becuase my lease was expiring in another 6 months and wanted to buy this time around. But I wasn't going to settle for anything but what I requested.

Autonation haha. Those guys. I tried buying a 16 Tacoma from them. They would not budge from 36k. I left and went to al hendrickson in Fort Lauderdale and got my TRD OR ordered and below invoice, 31800. That dealer trading can be rough. You got lucky, a lot of time's specially high dad vehicles like the Tacoma, the other dealers don't want to give them up and demand a equal replacement. Even between chains could be a long battle. Banks own the cars, not the dealerships. I just ordered it.

Well it actually worked out... I ended up with a 4x4 Inferno that I pick up in an hour.

When I showed up to pick up my truck today... it was the wrong truck (SR 4x4). Got the new truck for $500 under invoice. Maybe not the best deal but I'm happy at last.

As far as the 4wd... meh I don't need it. I'm not a urban/suburban pretender. I'll probably never use it. But I'm sure I'll get my money back out of it when I trade up again.

Wait, so not only did you not get the truck you originally wanted....but then you go in today to get the "other" truck only to find out it was the wrong truck?....so you settled for a 3rd different truck?? what a saga

So you ended up with a Sport 4x4? As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters in the end. Congrats on the new truck!

I bought a 2017 SR5 4x4 DCSB in Inferno. Which is what I more or less wanted minus the 4wd. But I'm happy with the purchase.
