Tried out some led headlights, while I do like them they severly suck in snow storms. Reason being they don't produce the heat of a halogen or hid which helps keep the snow and ice from building up over the lens. It was so bad that I have taken them out and have gone back to stock halogens. Probably go with hids soon. Anyone else finding leds dont cut it in the snow storms?

Which ones did you have. My LEDs came with a heatsink because of heat and advise even drilling holes in some applications to help ventilate. I haven't had any snow storms yet but I would assume based on that they generate a lot of heat?

I have been in storms where stock lights have Ice and snow build up. So maybe it's circumstantial.

They don't even throw enough light during normal night time, for me.... They are not made for our headlight reflector configuration...

I really don't have any issues with my opt7 leds. Of course I live in the midwest, it's not nearly as bad here as in Canada, eh?
