You can buy a lot of military vehicles on the surplus market. LMTV's go from anywhere from 10k to 30k depending on condition and layout. Same you can sometimes buy old dozers, humvees, ect too. They do tend to be a sort of "hope its all there" sort of deal though. The auction company only does minimal testing (does it turn on, does it have brakes, that sort of stuff) so you could end up with one that was cannibalized for the good parts and replaced with meh parts

Yep, I've seen that first hand. Not with old milsurp, but with heavy equipment bought at auctions. Boss man thinks he got a helluva deal until it gets off the low boy at the shop and it's puking oil and barely running. Every now and then you'll get a diamond in the ruff for a steal. Fresh coat of cat yellow will hide problems long enough to get it across the show floor and bid on. We've had do dump a few or more a few times into machines bought at auction to turn around and send it back to auction and cut losses. lol.

Nope, I graduated with a computer science degree. I didn't go past a bachelor's, though, so you can't call me Dr. Chicken

That's why I tend to spend more time lurking than posting :anonymous: Pirate has a pretty good rule of thumb for determining the resistance based off of how stuck the vehicle is:

I could have sworn that was one of the courses I took... Dequavian Engineering 101, with lab work. It's been a few years though, I might be mistaken.
