Disappointed....installed the pro grill, turned the truck on, and then sudden disappointment set in. The startup flash screen on the dash still shows my Taco wearing the old chrome grill - thought it would have updated to the pro grill too.

I really like the Pro Grill but i feel bad for all the TRD Pro owners because everyone is getting it now they should put out another grill with toyota spelled out with a different design

If it looks good, it looks good. The fact that it may be a "common" mod is irrelevant to anything and doesnt matter.

Its a weird 3rd gen thing. Everyone is doing the same mods, TRD PRO SEMA wheels and TRD PRO grille, KO2s. It's weird coming from the 2nd gen culture that is so different, everyone's truck was unique, different rims, tires, grill option, light bars, etc. Seems like everyone's 3rd gen looks about the same, kind of sad.

Yep, when the Baja's (original pros) and first Pro were first released you needed a VIN to order any of those parts, so it made those trucks really unique and the parts even more unique, the beadlocks were like gold on here for awhile, kind of a shame Toyota got greedy and decided to sell every damn part now.

The grille is because the stock TRD grilles are hideous.

Ya but there are far more options than just the TRD PRO grille insert and its far from the best looking, RAD, BAMF, etc all make way nicer and better looking grilles for the same price. Hell the sr5 grill insert looks better and can be done for less. I've owned 6 tacomas, all gens, and after talking to some 3rd gen guys today that were buying my predator steps, there is some weird lemming thing that there wasn't in the previous gens with everyone doing the same mods/parts. Just look in the 3rd gen section at least 50% of guys are running the TRD PRO wheels and KO2s. And its not hideous on certain colors, but certain other colors hell yes.

BAMF and other metal grilles are tacky / bro dozer looking. When someone wants a non tacky / brodozer looking grille to replace the ugly gaudy chrome TRD grilles and want something clean yet more aggressive, the TRD pro grille is your best bet besides the SR grille.

I personally think the BAMF grill looks amazing. Just as good as the pro grill imo. I would have considered the pro grill if it was cheaper though .

Ya your one of the very few that think any of those are tacky my friend, and to call them brodozer but not the TRD pro grille that sticks out further and is just as big, come on, bahahaha.

Brodozer starter back is TRD Pro Grille, Ko2s and TRD Pro wheels.

To each their own I guess. Most guys do the PRO because they can't think for themselves and copy everyone else or its the easiest to swap out/obtain from your local parts store/bin. Still looks good but come on, lots of other cleaner, nicer, more unique options than a piece of oversized plastic.

Agreed 100%. Not knocking the pro grill at all. In fact I actually like it a lot but there's also a lot of different options out there that look just as good if not better and are not as common.

Exactly what I was getting at, just so weird that all the 3rd gen owners are doing the same parts/mods, way more prevalent than 2nd gens. Maybe I'm just old school, but I like my truck to be unique and the culture of everyone doing unique builds was cool too.

I dont care if it sticks out. Sticking out doesnt mean bro. I dont see the screw/rivet heads like a BAMF grille and huge cutout lettering like they used those house address stickers as templates in my grille like BAMF

Comon. how much more bro and tacky can a grille get?! You must like 20" KMC rockstars too?
