Just finished watching the UFC fights. Wondering if Andy or Chuck were sporting their ink like this guy.

Windchill is -10°F ... glad my job isn't on the flightline tonight. Ramp folks are doing a 747 tail swap due to broke acft. 42 pallets down ... 42 pallets up. :bananadead:

Damn. Is it part way in the hangar? Like with just the tail sticking out so they are partially covered?
    And 42 pallets of parts?

O I know. Old school. Like a said a lost art due to technology.
The old Muncie's would never handle anything close to the hp.
As you know years ago we didn't have.
    Studder boxes
    Bump boxes
    Computer injection
    Rev limiters
Afr meters and real time data.
    We had
    3 pedals
    A lever
Maybe a line lock at most.
You used your brain. Powers of observation. Experience.
    Trial and error.

A time gone by but still so misterious.
The old school gassers are up my alley.
Find stuff in the garage and the back yard and junkyard and build something.
You didn't "send anything out" per say.
We would have blocks checked and bored but that was it.
All honing, measuring, assembly was done by the guys.
    Transmissions, rear ends, suspensions.all us.
    When we won. WE WON.
No thank you to any outsider.

    Now it's assembling, not building.

    Time passes
And now no way would I even attempt to build something like that.
Being up 48 hours working at your job and building after was nothing.
Now I'm lucky if the can stay up 48 minutes. lol.
Ahhhhh the things you think you can do after you get old and wrinkled.
I'll be lucky if I can walk out to the garage or remember where it is.

    6 degrees here this am.
    Snow starting tonight.
    Time for coffee.

    Good morning everyone.
    Winter is here.

That's cold. Winter comes and goes here. Easy to get sick. Cedar pollen is showing it's head.
Bad weather and rut have animals all stirred up.

As far as old muscle cars I got in and out of the "hobby" at young age. The more work I put into that big block the more trouble I got into. I would take day trips out to little towns and walk around junk yards just looking. Sometimes I'd find something. Kinda like the cast iron high rise intake manifold I had. I'm not as much into it all other than my taco and barely that. For me it was an addiction and I had to walk away.

    Nope...all outside. 42 acft pallets (104" x 84" stacked from 3 - 8 feet high. Pieces, parts, etc ...

Bitch of it is this plane was full thru-load and only supposed to refuel and proceed to Japan; it broke and now the entire load has to be transfered from one aircraft to another.
